although both jackie and jennifer do well with this lazy, confused script ultimately this film falls flat. a jackie chan film first and foremost is a vehicle enabling us to see jackies martial arts talents and physical comedy. The premise was childish and at times i found myself cringing with embarrassment which is unheard of im a huge jackie fan and have been since battle creek brawl. Lets face it it doesnt take much to please us rush hour 1 and 2 shanghai noon mr nice guy etc have been fantastic. just put jackie in lots of imaginitive fight scenes with a comedy sidekick or indeed police story just imaginitive fight scenes. But with the tuxedo a lot of the fight scenes have been matrixed up and are cgi'd which we dont expect from jackie. the actual plot was like something from the english school film foundation. Lets hope shanghai knights and highbinders are better.

Fmovies: It seems to me that all of the people that have slammed this film have forgotten what Jackie Chan is about. I have seen most of the films, including the ones that have "lower" ratings. Jackie Chan movies are about having fun. I have always gotten the impression that he wants his viewers to have fun. He is an incredible actor and it shows. This movie is just simply put, a fun movie. There is no need to sit there and analyze the little bit of CG or wire work. Look at Crouching Tiger. It was mostly wire work and it did not get slammed. Go see this movie and have fun watching it. Jackie has once again made a movie that was fun to watch.

I've read numerous negative comments about this movie and its several actors on this blog, and I have to wonder what is going on the lives of these unhappy mental midgets that they did not find this movie thoroughly enjoyable. It is one of Chan's best. Jennifer Hewitt is "DAZZLING" (as are the other gorgeous ladies) on top of hysterical. Jason Isaacs is considerably smooth and not in near enough of the movie. It makes me think that the negative comments were written by people working for the opposition. I AM amazed at the decision to cut the majority of the deleted scenes (I won't spoil it by telling you which). Get the DVD and enjoy the whole event over and over. For my tastes, it will be a default movie... one I will look forward to watching frequently.

The Tuxedo fmovies. Disappointingly, this film was a step down for both Jackie Chan and Jennifer-Love, whom I actually idolize. Chan was trying to be funny while being 'manipulated' by the tux, but turned out to be corny (at least for me). I'm not sure if he's already too old for the job, but if he goes on with his upcoming movies like that, his name will just fade away from the movie industry, and the likes of Jet Li will very much make a better replacement for him.

The movie also proved that Love-Hewitt wasn't a comedienne after all. She's no match to Reese Witherspoon when it comes to actress versatility (the latter can do both funny and sad movies). She should just stick to drama or other pretty-girl films.

I was fortunate enough to see a restricted advanced screening of this film, and while occasionally I'm disappointed by these advanced screenings, The Tuxedo really delivered.

Jackie Chan, while always visually stunning and frequently extremely funny, has lived to his fullest potential in this movie. If his career were to be over now, I sincerely believe that this movie would be the one he was remembered for.

From the opening scene to the closing credits, this film keeps your adrenaline pumping and your laughter rolling. The chemistry is definitely there between Jackie Chan and the lovely Jennifer Love Hewitt, and the pair of them is funnier than either of them independently.

Of course, the actors get a great deal of help from a brilliant script. The dialogue in this movie is fast and smart, and an executive of any production company, from the smallest Acme or DCJ Production company right up to MGM or Miramax, would be absolutely thrilled to see it land on his desk.

All these elements together form a film which is strong enough, funny enough, and smart enough to be the end-of-summer blockbuster we've been waiting for. See The Tuxedo - you'll be glad you did!

The movie concerns a hapless chauffeur called Tong (Jackie Chan) who hiding himself from a secret agent (Jason Isaacs) wears his special gadget-laden tuxedo with extraordinary powers . This discovery thrusts Tong into world of international espionage and intrigue and pairs him with an inexperienced colleague . As Jackie Chan and another agent (Jennifer Lowe Hewitt) will have to take on a villain who's wanting to rule over the world .

From start to finish humor and action-packed is interminable . In the film there are intrigue , tongue in cheek , pursuits , frenetic action and includes lots of fun . The movie didn't fail at the box office and neither was a real success .

Action carried out by Jackie Chan was realized by means of specials effects to difference other films in which he made his own stunts . Jennifer Hewitt is pretty gorgeous making with Jackie Chan a type of ¨Buddy movie¨ film . Final confrontation between starring and the baddies is breathtaking and astounding . The picture will appeal to Jackie Chan fans.

Rating : 5,5/10 nice and entertaining .
