This movie ruins the whole saga.

The story is forced and absurd and its development makes no sense, just as the main conflict is unnecessary. The animation is horrible, it is of very low quality despite the fact that the production company is very powerful and millionaire. The character development is poor, the writers completely forgot about important characters from the past movies, and the new characters they introduce don't make much sense for them to be included, just as there are no indications of at what point in the timeline of the entire saga this sixth installment is located. The humor is creepy, the story gets boring at the end as it's predictable and not surprising or different, the main conflict doesn't make any sense.

It's a lousy movie plot-wise and visually ugly, it's just not worth it.

Fmovies: Buck is my Favorite character and I was looking So Forward to this new animation. :(

I knew as soon as it started that something looked Flat about the animation and the voices didn't ring true, because they aren't the original voices, except for Simon Pegg. And the cartoon was more about Eddie and Crash than Buck.

Not a great story, hated the stupid villain and it just wasn't the fun ride with Buck I was expecting.

All I have to do is think about the scene with the cave and the gas from Dawn of the Dinosaurs and it still cracks me up. Sadly, not much funny going on in this new movie. Too bad. : (

The Ice Age movies are fine for what they are, they are funny and they have good voice acting with pretty good animation. So, I have nothing wrong with this series.

Ice Age (2002): good animation for 2002, funny characters, and great voice acting.

Ice Age: The Meltdown (2006): a good second movie with the same positives as the first, just not as good as the first.

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (2009): not really my favorite in the series, but I do like that they did something different with the idea and still had great performances.

Ice Age: Continental Drift (2012): it was fine. The idea was interesting and the villain was weird, but it was getting a little stupid in how it plays out.

Ice Age: Collision Course (2016): not that bad for the last movie in the series, it still had what the other movies had that was entertaining.

But it turns out not to be the last movie.

The Ice Age adventures of Buck Wild (2022) was a standard 6th movie to a series that I thought was over, which was just here because Disney bought 20th Century Fox.

The animation was ok but not as good as the other 5 movies. They should have focused more on Buck than the possums Crash and Eddie from the other movies, who were annoying.

The only character I liked was Buck voiced by Simon Pegg who voiced him in the other movies, he was more fun and entertaining to watch.

The villain was just a standard smart villain and Manny, Sid, and Diego were just side lined and they show up at the end without a reason to be there.

I suggest watching the other 5 movies than this. I watched this to complete the series and you can watch this too, if you want to do the same.

The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild fmovies. How wonderful it is that the crazy characters of Ice Age are back with a new adventure. Having watched the Ice Age movies from the beginning, I am familiar with their sarcastic and humorous personalities. It's almost like hanging out with old friends.

Crash (Vincent Tong) and Eddie (Aaron Harris) crave adventure and feel Elli (Domonique Jenning) is preventing them from living their "best life." Eddie and Crash leave the safety of their pack and find their way to the Lost World. Not realizing the actual dangers of the Lost World, Eddie and Crash unexpectedly become reunited with Buck Wild when he has to rescue them from unruly dinosaurs. Buck Wild is in the middle of trying to restore harmony to the Lost World and doesn't have the time to deal with the Opossum brothers. Eddie and Crash are oblivious to the risks involved in staying but have no choice because the cave entrance was blocked. Together with Buck Wild, Eddie, Crash set on a quest to restore the peace of the Lost World.

With the talented cast, visual and animation department, director John Donkin produced an action-adventure film that embraced the Ice Age saga and introduced a fresh outlook.

The music by Batu Sener brought life into the action scenes by absorbing the person into the movie. Danger, drama, and humor were not only told through dialogue but also musical notes. The animation team directed by Marshal Fels Elliot seamlessly brought all the original characters back onto the screen while at the same time introducing new friends and foes. The details and color of the animated plants, animals, and birds captured the moviegoer's attention from start to finish.

Teamwork, family, and courage are themes throughout Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild. The pack realized that family is family even if you are apart. Love for each other doesn't change just because you have added distance. Change is not something to be afraid of, and taking risks to find your true happiness takes courage.

I rate Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild 3 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 4 to 13. I would have rated the movie higher if it had included all the main characters I love and did not have so much dialogue. Adults will also enjoy watching this action-adventure film. Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild premieres on Disney Plus on Friday, January 28, 2022. By Calee N., KIDS FIRST!

I kids will find this amusing, never tries to be something it's not, I saw the first Ice Age which came out in 2002, but never saw the sequels.

Not a bad animated film, the main characters are also in this, although not voiced by the same actors, but they sound similar. Although it's focused on some characters, the original characters do come in out, but never overshadow the stars. Simon Pegg does bring a joy here, steals the show. The animation is also great .

The Ice Age Adventures Of Buck Wild (2022) : Movie Review -

Ice Age has been one of my childhood favorite Franchises. I was maybe 10, when the first film came and it was an emotionally fascinating experience for me. I have grown up with this franchise and when I saw the first film at a mature age, I still found it nostalgic. Then came 'The Meltdown', a little lower than the first one but another good film with new characters joining the family. Third one, Dawn of the Dinosaurs, was all about Buck's out-and-and heroic charm and again the franchise saw a drop in terms of quality. Continental Drift was quite an adventurous stuff with that Pirates of the Caribbean kind of feel and despite lowering the quality again, it still held my interest. Then finally lost interest in the franchise with 'Collision Course', and now we have another forced attempt, which tries to revive the franchise. But tell me, can a OTT release do that? Nope. If they fail with theatrical releases then how can they expect that they can revive the franchise with digital release? Or are they just trying to pass it on. However, I am glad to say The Ice Age Adventures Of Buck Wild isn't that bad. It never becomes crap, and is somewhat enjoyable for the followers of the franchise. This is the first film which doesn't really involve those four main characters as centric characters, and finally we have a film which tries to explore the individual heroics of those two tiny characters who have always remained side characters over the years.

The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild continues the escapades of the possum brothers Crash and Eddie who set out to find a place of their own. Together with the one-eyed weasel, Buck Wild, they face the dinosaurs who inhabit the Lost World. Afterall, it is a predictable film with some good emotional quotient at the end. However, there's nothing too great to look forward to. Nonetheless, I must say that they have pulled off a decent script with family-driven formula and individuality of the weak-looking characters.

The film is hurt by its predictability but is uplifted by the logical statistics. The dialogues add something to remember and that separation part is really heartbreaking- even though it has an intelligent angle of finding one's identity. We have been seeing those two little jokers with Manny, Sid, Diego and especially Ellie for years, so naturally them parting ways itches your heart. And all that Superhero stuff, Courage and Resourcefulness, is definitely some lesson for the underage audience. The voice cast is okay and the visuals are good. Comedy factor works in between, with few lows and few highs.

John C. Donkin has made an average flick sound more logical by attempting Pixar-kind-of stuff and I admire him for that. On the opposite side of it, I wouldn't hesitate to bash him for using highly outdated ideas. What's new there? What's something that you haven't seen in any other sort of good animated film? These are the questions you ask while watching it and there are no answers to it. The Ice Age Adventures Of Buck Wild should be hailed for giving the special mention to those two unexplored characters but at the same it deserves to be thrashed for being lukewarm and too oldish. Overall, watchable, but only with low expectations.
