Mo' Money (1992)

the wayans have a certain charm that make their movies watchable but repeated viewings- now way. stacy dash is gorgeous and damon has got charisma but the plot is just a slap dash took-someone-five-minutes-to-think-up job that almost drags the picture down to crapsville but the wayans' acting is decent enough to make u watch to the end. oh yeah, the preacher/lawyer bit had me rolling on the floor too :)

Fmovies: Damon and Marlon Wayons, brothers in the movie and brothers in real life, play Johnny and Seymour who deal with struggling with Chicago inner-city life by small time hustling and conning. Two examples included conning a guy by giving him a box with styrofoam and a cinderblock in it but telling him that it's a TV, while acting out as offbeat characters (and pretending to shoot up drugs in front of their victim), and then a while later pretending to be an out of control hyper mentally ill person throwing eggs and trashing a store just to get a free turkey sandwich.

The brothers both have a criminal record, and Johnny, while already on probation from earlier offenses, goes to court (after being in jail with the obligatory big bully cellmate scene) after his latest offense of skipping onto a train without paying his fare (and him hilariously mocking the ticket woman). After getting the latest charge dropped because of him obtaining a lawyer who literally sings in the courtroom, Johnny meets and immediately (while playing 3 card draw) falls for Amber (Stacy Dash) and then applies for a job at a credit card company where she works, at first just to be near her, and then because he finally decides to improve his image by sticking with a legit job. But that hasn't lasted long when he decides on going with Seymour on a huge spending spree after stealing a return credit card that a customer forgot to break in half. It's later revealed that the unbroken return credit card was specifically placed there by the corrupt evil company manager Keith (John Diehl) who set him up due to having checked out his checkered past. Keith also needed a new lacky because he had gotten nervous that his other lacky Chris (Mark Beltzman) was going to rat him out to the police, which he then reacted to by getting Chris killed, having his goons stab him at the train station. So, Keith then appointed Johnny new mailroom supervisor and made him his new "number one guy", as he said it.

Keith had already taken part in two murders by this point in the film (Chris, and another guy near the start of the film). Cop Raymond (Joe Santos), partner of Johnny and Seymour's late cop dad who was killed on a stakeout with Raymond, who's also unsuccessfully tried to straighten out his late partner's son's lives, had already been suspicious and poking his nose into Keith's company after the first murder. Raymond personally talking to Chris was the last straw which triggered Keith to have him killed. Once Johnny became Keith's new number one guy, he warned him that he'd kill him if he betrayed him. Since Johnny didn't know at that point that Keith was behind Chris's murder, he seemingly didn't take Keith's threat seriously enough, and he did eventually betray him by bailing out as his lacky, and, according to Keith, having Seymour wear a wire and try to ask him questions. However, it was the police (who busted Seymour for trying to use the now suspended credit card) who set him up to talk to Keith. But Seymour still told Keith it was Johnny. This all leads to an action packed climax. There are also a couple of implausible scenes such as Johnny jumping from an elevator train down onto Keith's car just as he was driving under the bridge (likely, yeah).

Other good moments in the movie included scenes with Johnny and Amber, such as Johnny running up the stairs and showing up in front of Amber in the elevator on each floor asking her out each time. Then there was another good scene later with the

A great date movie. A romantic twist. This story was about Johnny who sells Amber a book called, "Ice cream Dream" for $2. After working together, they begin to date. The both of them picking out Crystals figurines, dancing at a club, walking together. He visits her for a date night at her place. She comes to the hospital to see Johnny.

Mo' Money fmovies. Brothers Johnny Stewart (Damon Wayans) and Seymour Stewart (Marlon Wayans) are petty criminal scammers in Chicago which usually requires Johnny to do a weird voice. Johnny falls for Amber Evans (Stacey Dash) and gets a mailroom job at her office for a credit card firm. He starts using stolen credit card numbers. He is forced to join a fraud conspiracy led by the manager Keith Heading. Police Lt. Walsh is investigating a murder perpetrated by the murderous conspirators.

While Damon is cringey, it is Stacey Dash who is more annoying. She oozes high maintenance girl and is off-putting. She's not worth the effort. They're not fun as a couple. The Wayans are marginally funny. At least, they're family and it feels like it. Some of the other comedy really doesn't work. The plot itself is fine but I simply don't like the central romance.

Although thin on plot, great performances by the leads do manage to save what would otherwise be another mediocre comedy. Damon Wayans shows considerable charisma as the lead, and has terrific chemistry with beautiful co-star Stacey Dash. To be sure, much of the humour here is silly, but when the pace is slower (and the dialogue is realistic), the film really does work .

Personally i Truly found this movie funny.

After a string of small time scams, Johnny Stewart(Damon Wayans), finally decides to go legit when he meets the women of his dreams(Stacy Dash). Following her into the Dynasty Credit Card offices , he quickly accepts a low-level job in the mailroom. But the temptation of free money- in the form of returned credit cards- is more temptation then he can resist, and soon he and his little brother(Marlon Wayans)are on the hilarious shopping spree of a lifetime. When a corrupt executive discovers what Johnny is doing, he blackmails him into a dangerous fraud scheme that threatens not only his credit rating , but his life.

In my opinion i would give this movie 7/10 stars Not that bad but it could of been better
