Force of Nature (2020)

Force of Nature has a few entertaining moments, but it's very forgettable and it blends in with a hundred other movies. However, Mel Gibson was the main attraction that I was eager to watch this film. But the Mel of Lethal Weapon was shown as coughing and stubborn old man. Besides he has short role in the movie. The fight scenes aren't that bad, all things considered. Force of Nature is not a bad film. It had its fair share of problems, but for a low budget action film with an aging action star, it's not bad at all.

Fmovies: Horrible plot, bad acting, and predictable "twist". I had a difficult time even finishing the movie.

I bought "Force of Nature" on Amazon to support Mel Gibson and I really wanted to like it. Unfortunately, the flick is a turkey on almost every level. The only time it really works is when Mel is on screen and he's only up there for maybe thirty minutes. For whatever reason, he delivers his lines in some kind of New York-New Jersey accent which, to my ears, didn't quite work.

Emile Hirsch and Stephanie Cayo were badly miscast as street cops in Puerto Rico. Neither of these snowflakes was even remotely believable. Fortunately for their reputations as actors, their characters were so poorly conceived that audiences may cut them some slack on their acting. Seriously, a white male cop in San Juan who can't speak Spanish? That's about as believable as a model-thin, white latina larping as a street cop in San Juan.

Regarding the 23-million dollar budget, a friend of mine is convinced the movie couldn't possibly have cost that much to make. He thinks it proves the whole thing was made as a tax write-off.

Summing up, FoN is only worth seeing if you're a big fan of Mel. On the IMDb scale, I give it a '5' but if not for Gibson it would be a '3'.

Force of Nature fmovies. The script is so bad it's laughable. It's cut together so poorly it just confuses you mostly. Half way through I'm checking IMDb to see if this movie was sitting on a shelf and only released because of COVID. Nothing in this movie is worth the watch. Nothing.

Where to start!! Let's start with Mel Gibson. Its seems now a days a lot of these low budget action films are casting once great actors from the 80s and 90s in small roles to entice fans. Bruce Willis being a prime example! Gibson doesn't have a great deal of screen time in this film. The main stars are Emile Hersch and Kate Bosworth. It centres around the occupants of an apartment complex during a hurricane refusing to leave, and to make matters worse there are some nasty men now looking for something in one of the rooms. Enter Hersch the hero cop trying to get everyone out with the help of Gibson's daughter Bosworth. That's it!! You could of put Danny Glover in the apartment next door and called it lethal weapon 5. I wanted to turn the movie off afte 30 minutes but the wife insisted we finished!!

This movie is terrible. Couldn't even finish it. Thought it had enough names in it to be decent, but it's not. Hard pass.
