Annaatthe (2021)

I feel very disappointed to see the film critics gave negative reviews to the film but the audience gave the mixed response whether it's good or bad but I am worried that it will may fail to impress the audience. 1st half is quite slow and bit bored but the 2nd half is full of mass and sentiment.

The film has lack of emotional depth and the theatre moments' and the script's poor writing in this big-budget star vehicle is a massive disappointment. The screenplay is predictable.

The film is made with the budget of 180 crore. If its positive, it can collect 500 crore but if it negative, it will collect like 200-350 crore that will surely flop.

We will see whether its success or not.

Verdict: Decent Entertainer With An Underwhelming Drama.

During the trailer its being said that in this world the most dangerous person is not the stranger but the one who knows us about everything & that what ENEMY movie is all about....

Now much not saying in detail and making it a spoiler let's see the positive and negative points of the movie.....

Negative Points.....

1) Mamta Mohandas as Arya's wife was Ok.. Could have been better choice & also Mirnalini Ravi paired opposite to Vishal was also not impressive...

2) Expectations towards climax failed.....

3) Little more action sequences expected.....

4) VFX could have been better

Positive Points.....

1) BGM was fabulous.... It added the energy to the movie.... Hats off to Thaman

2) Vishal and Arya delivered the best performance 👌👌👌.... Watched Arya as a antagonist in Allu Arjun movie " Krishna" but that was a psycho, here Anand Shankar had tried to adopt the same but in a sophisticated manner...."A techie and smart criminal".... Watching Vishal's movie for the first time and I liked his performance....

3) Locations of Singapore, Ooty had been beautifully captured....

4) Subject of Indo- China issue had been able to deliver but whether it will be controversial topic, is a debatable one.....

Overall a Entertainer movie and hats off to the team for releasing at the day when Super Star Rajnikant " Annathe"......

OVERALL it's not movie , this is mega serial.

Annaatthe fmovies. I didn't except this movie from Rajnikanth. Meh, one time watchable. How I spended entire watching movie. Excepted a pattas level. Nah. Felt like watching a seriel.

Totally disappointed with this movie. Poorly written script, poorly developed characters very dramatic not able to see Thalaivar magic in any scene. What is the point to have such huge cast having best acting credentials used like a buffoon.

Kaalaiyan (Rajinikanth) is a good samaritan in a small village whose life revolves around his sister Thanga Meenatchi (Keerthy Suresh). He wants his sister to get married in a good household. His rival (Prakash Raj) learns a lesson of good deed from Kaalaiyan and asks him to arrange the wedding between his brother and Thanga Meenatchi. Just when Kaalaiyan is busy preparing for the wedding, Thanga Meenatchi goes missing and the first half ends with a twist. The rest of the film is all about how Keerthy ends up in Kolkata and why she is struggling for money and how Kaaliayan goes there to save his sister.

Annaatthe promises loads of action and fun-filled moments that any ardent fan of the Superstar could ask for. While the star does not miss a trick, filmmaker Siva makes the mistake of not working enough on the screenplay. One of the biggest problems with the movie is the outdated plot. Working with a weak plot riddled with holes and convenient twists that one can see from miles away, he is unable to craft anything out of the story.

Annaatthe kicks off in Kolkata, where the media is agog at the exploits of a mystery man who has appeared from nowhere and sent the city's underworld kingpins scurrying for cover. The stage is set for the Rajinikanth entry: the camera closes in on the hero as he corners a bunch of hoodlums - he has an arm resting insouciantly on the handle of a scythe, his weapon of choice. His aura sufficiently accentuated, he says he was a very different kind of man six months ago.

The action shifts to his village. What we see there does little to convince us that Kalaiayan was really any different as the panchayat chief of Soorakottai. As he goes around dispensing justice and delivering sermons in a village where he is an undisputed demigod, his tactics are no less of the strongarm variety.
