Well at least they are trying to be fun, but they only reach as far as witty. it has a promising start, but from there its the verbal sprout of try to be comedy,by not using slap stick and situational physical pranks wouldve saved the day thinks the grumpy old man. its a cliched flick have seen hoard of titles doing this better. its a 5 a no more than that. its an inbetweener for all you drunks out there
Fmovies: I was hesitant to spend the $$ but it was good! Surprisingly funny I laughed out loud several times. Entertaining and keeps you interested through the end.
This movie obviously doesn't take itself seriously. And yet, all aspects are first-rate: the acting, the cinematography, and especially the script. We actually get glimpses into the inner-workings of most of the characters, which is mighty rare with a campy horror flick. It's genuinely funny, and has genuine tension. Nothing juvenile about it. It's a very hard movie to describe, but I found it quite entertaining, in a totally meaningless way. I recommend it, just don't expect a Spielberg-level production.
Useless Humans fmovies. Cute movie. Enjoyed the characters. Kept us entertained. Should lead to more opportunities for producer, Ryan Scaringe.
This is a good scifi comedy that doesn't really have much to say about the world or high stakes, but it is solid for what it is.
The writing is amusing and gets to the point of what it wants to achieve. There are lots of fun moments and this keeps the movie fresh and running along nicely.
Overall I can't call this a masterpiece, but it is a fun b-movie that doesn't take itself seriously and should provide an entertaining watch for most.
I don't usually review things, but seeing this at a 4.2 was shocking to me, so figured I'd drop my opinion.
First off the obvious - this is a cheesy sci fi/comedy flick about 4 friends reconnecting and an alien, and if you're looking for more than that you'll be sorely disappointed.
Within it's genre though, fantastic. Chemistry carries the early part of the film, actors obviously had a ton of fun making it, and at 70 minutes actual film run time, never outstays it's welcome.
Basically - if you like this kind of film and the occasional meta humour, you'll be pleasantly surprised
