This is basically one of the best work of Parineeti and I am glad that I can now call arjun Kapoor an actor , not the best movie of Dibakar Banerjee but it is good . And if we can appreciate the direction you will see very subtle way of telling how our society works . A good movie and a good plot
Fmovies: Movie is good, a good director can get the best acting out of a ham actor dibakar banarjee has proved it again, to the surprise arjun kapoor acting was good but parineeti had done her best acting in this movie she was very good, nothing need to say about the veterans raghubir yadav and Neena gupta theyvwere outstanding
It's a very good film which comes with a depth in every character and can't believe why its IMDB score is 4.4 only.
Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar fmovies. This is a brilliant movie. The genius of Dibakar is to imagine things in a new way. If you remember the Ghost stories section "Bees Ghara Sau Ghara" where the director Dibakar Banerjee re-imagines the ghosts in the title a completely different innovative style.
Here also the re-imagines the concept of a chase movie in a novel fashion (read no fancy car chases, no irritating fight sequences etc). The movie plays out in a relaxed pace yet with a looming tension which pinnacles at the right moment to give a brilliant climax.
There is no wasted moment, every character which is introduced is important to the storyline. There is no spoon feeding and infact the movie requires you to be actively involved to understand what is going on. Where the storyline allows for a nice take on issues like patriarchy, corruption etc there is a lot of subtext with the symbolism in the movie which I leave the viewer to figure out on their own.
Dibakar Banerjee is one the most honest and dark film maker of bollywood he done his job amazingly in this film. Parineeti chopra and arjun kapoor was good...i just missed one thing in this movie and that is some heartful music.
I rarely review films but after reading all the hate boxes for reviews around here, I just had to write this. It is actually a nice film and a total justice for my money. Films are all about love and inclusiveness of all, and should not be judged by the background of the people working in it. Do watch the film if you can and maybe even write a review of the same about how you like or dislike it.
