The songs and the scenery in the entire movie is good.

But it is very noisy, unnecessary disturbing noises will irritate you, may be some may get head ache too.

The jungle villain type character with uniform and gun and hairs like birds nest is actually funny, from no angle he looks like a villain.

In one fight sequence the hero is carrying his younger brother and fighting, i don't know why because he could have left him in a safe place fought the villains instead. The action director used more than required brains i guess.

Otherwise it is a one time watch movie only.

Fmovies: What mainly makes Pulimurugan the huge box office success it has become is undoubtedly the brilliant fight choreography by the acclaimed Peter Hein, very good visual effects(nearly as good as top Hollywood movies), beautiful cinematography and of course Mohanlal's intensity. The physicality that Mohanlal brought to his performance, even at this age, is very commendable. His body language in the action scenes is what makes them paisa vasool, thanks also to excellent action direction by Peter Hein whom Mohanlal regards as the actual Pulimurugan of the movie. Probably, this is the first movie in Malayalam cinema which has stunts of such breathtaking nature. Another highlight are the wonderful performances from rest of the cast. Jagapathi Babu in a negative role as Daddy Girija makes a strong impact. Ajaz Kollam as the younger Pulimurugan is a natural actor, just like Mohanlal! The other actor, Lal as Murugan's uncle gives able support to Mohanlal. Kamalinee Mukherjee as Murugan's wife is good, maybe she struggled in few scenes due to the language barrier. Namitha in a short appearance gives enough oomph factor to the movie. Even Bala(as Daddy's son) and Suraj Venjaramoodu make their presence felt.

Although Suraj does very well in his role, I wonder why he seems to accept lot of roles that either show him as a drunkard or a pervert. His character in Pulimurugan may have actually irritated the lady viewers than cause laughs. It's that aspect, the vulgarity, that spoils this movie. It has few scenes or dialogues that are double meaning or just to titillate the male crowd. The film makers could have done away with all of that if they want family audience too. Also, there's too much drama including characters that praise Murugan in an exaggerated manner...a few lines of praise would have been OK as he's in a larger than life avatar but it got overly done.

Despite the flaws, Pulimurugan is a thumbs up entertainment thanks to the thrilling fight scenes.

Pros: Mohanlal, action, most visual effects, cinematography, support actors Cons: exaggerated drama, some vulgarity

Very bad movie with low rated graphics and the fights are really disgusting. Totally disappointed.

Pulimurugan fmovies. Pulimurugan is a superb commercial entertainer. This movie portrayed another face of Mohanlal's acting skills from start to the end, the viewers are taken to various emotions of laughter, anger, rush of blood etc.Every scene in the movie makes an impact with the viewers. It was good to see Mohanlal in an all new avatar. Mohanlal is the main backbone of the movie Pulimurugan. Another bang of The Complete Actor "Mohanlal".I think 2016 year is the year for the Complete actor 'Mohanlal' because his previous films (Oppam, Manamantha and Janatha Garage) released in 2016 and turned as blockbuster.

Director Vyshakh done a fantastic job. In Pulimurugan, the director just ripped off an image of Superstar Mohanlal and recreated it in a different man. The story is wafer thin, but the dialogues are Fantastic. Supporting characters like Kamalini Mukherjee, Vinu Mohan, Suraj and other all characters done good job except Namitha. I think the movie not need Namitha's character. I forgot to tell Lal's character and the boy (done's Mohanlals childhood character) They were simply awesome.

Another plus point is CGI and VFX. It was awesome. The tigers sequences are amazing. I think in some sequences CGI is not much good as expected but overall the work was fantastic. Peter Hein action choreography simply amazing he done a great job and he gives his best action sequences for Malayalam film industry.

Overall it's a must watch movie for all! Go and watch the movie in Theatre because it's a mass entertainer for all.

One of the worst movies I have ever seen. One thing. Lals acting is good. Direction? Vyshak sucks. Even a 1 year old kid can direct a better story than him. He should go back to making cheesy masala movies. CGI is unbelievably unrealistic. Stunts? Peter Did an amazing job (sarcasm). I don't get the hype. Absolutely terrible story. Watch if you are a kid and have 2 hours to waste. Also prepare to cringe a lot at the comedy scenes. On a scale from Santosh pandit to Christopher Nolan . I rate it -1.

Givinng due credit to the positive aspects - The movie as such solely relies on Mohanlal's performance, which is awesome. But team work isn't balanced, though. Siddique's acting, camera work & Peter Hein's stunts were good too. Music is a let down, much suited for a low-bud film, doesn't suit Gopi Sundar's orchestration skills. Sudhir Karamana has been overacting in a few recent movies, which is in stark contrast with that of his father's fantastic controlled acting. Karamana Janardhanan Nair was one of Malayalam's finest. CGI is way better than that in any other south Indian movies released so far, although there are a few flaws which only trained eyes might spot. I wouldn't have noticed any of those, if I hadn't been working in Quality control in Animation Looks like the idea was to air the movie nationally but Jagapathy Babu, the ace Telugu villain's character & script couldn't deliver. Comparisons with Devasuram & Kireedam are hardly justified as both Napoleon & Mohan Raj carried off their equally important roles with flair & left a lasting strong impact. The pack of villains apparently have hurriedly-scripted roles. This is at a time when performance by a total newcomer Ashwin Kumar in Jacobinte swargarajyam was amazingly powerful & realistic. Otherwise the fact that excellent footages of Mohanlal fighting a snake and other scenes shown in teasers - yet removed scenes for optimizing the length of the movie is disappointing. Perhaps shortening stale comedy footage of Namita would have been prudent. Kamalini Mukherjee's expressions are hardly worth commenting- as is apt for any other imported actress, usual in Malayalam. Her casting again, must have had something to do with the intended national market of the movie. Also the stunt sequence while Mohanlal carries his fully grown-up brother while fighting is as ridiculous as watching some archaic Hindi movie. The Hype about this movie is hardly worth believing - Overall Grossly Disappointing
