Man, this movie takes me back to the beginning of bjj in America!! I was there and this movie is spot on. Brought to life by a real bjj black belt, Sean Patrick Flanery, who was also there and has weaved the real history through a beautiful story. It's really well done and the acting is top notch. Film gives me chills to watch and fills me with wonderful memories of a time not many were lucky enough to witness. This movies takes you there. Well done! ðŸ‘ðŸ»ðŸ‘ðŸ»
Fmovies: Some say this is a typical "karate " movie and it couldn't be further from the truth. Combat yes but also great emotions and fun for the fighting fan and even others.
I don't normally leave a review for a film, however this movie ticks a lot of boxes. It does start off as a love story. Boys, you may decide to turn it off. Don't. My hubby thought it was a chick flick. I don't do them either. It is building up to a film about family. Love. But most importantly BJJ. Hold tight. It packs a punch. Big time. And we both were punched watching this movie. It is honest to crap one of the best films I've seen in a long while. The respect for this martial art is beautiful. And it is brutal. In every way. You won't be disappointed. This film, I know you will watch again. I have. There is a reason this is the first movie I have rated. It's just wonderful.
Born a Champion fmovies. This is one of thoes movies going in you say eh looks good enough and than walk away going omg what a amazing movie I felt every punch and not just the ones landed with fists im talking about thoes gut punches that leaves ur heart in ur throat this wasn't just another mma flick this was a movie about love family combat the American dream hats off and a salute to the producers directors and actors this was hands down the best film I've ever seen.
It is not the best movie I've ever seen but it is definitely worth watching. I will say this. I didn't play on my phone the entire time I was watching this movie. The actors do an excellent job and keep you engaged on an emotional level. I actually teared up a few times.
This movie is a breath of fresh air in all political correctness and identity politics. Just a movie about passion, life and real life hurdles.
