Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip (2015)

Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip continues with the story of the three chipmunks, Alvin(Justin Long), Simon(Matthew Gray Gubler) & Theodore(Jesse McCartney). The chipmunks throw Dave(Jason Lee) an unwanted party, that spirals out of control. Dave is very disappointed with the chipmunks, who he considers to be his own children. Dave tells the chipmunks that they need to start being more responsible because things are going to change since, Dave is getting really serious with his girlfriend. The chipmunks believe that Dave is going to propose to his girlfriend Samantha(Kimberly Williams-Paisley), in Miami. They meet Samantha's son, Miles(Josh Green) & realize that he's going to be a horrible stepbrother. Now, Alvin, Simon & Theodore with the help of Miles, decide to stop Dave from proposing to Samantha.

Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip is a good film. It is as entertaining as the previous installments in the Alvin and the Chipmunks franchise. However, the chipmunks are not loved by everybody. Give this one a miss, if you find the chipmunks' squeaky voices & squeaky renditions of famous songs, annoying. Kids will thoroughly enjoy this movie. The special effects are great. The chipmunks & the Chipettes look very realistic. Jason Lee is superb as Dave. Justin Long, Matthew Gray Gubler & Jesse McCartney are adorable & hilarious as the voices of Alvin, Simon & Theodore, respectively. Kimberly Williams-Paisley is impressive as Samantha. Josh Green is awesome as Miles. The standout performer of the film is Tony Hale as Agent Suggs. Hale's antics as the bumbling air marshal are laugh-out-loud funny. Bella Thorne & Eddie Steeples are effective as Ashley Gray & Barry, respectively. Christina Applegate, Kaley Cuoco & Anna Faris are cute as the voices of Brittany, Eleanor & Jeanette, respectively. The soundtrack of the film is groovy, with the chipmunks' rendition of Uptown Funk & their performance in the climax of the film, being especially memorable. Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip is not a must watch. However, it is the perfect movie to watch with the entire family. You guys will love the movie if you are a fan of the chipmunks.

All of whom add their own unique flavor to the bubbling stew that is the movie Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip. The work these actors and actresses put int to this pile of cinematic awesomeness brings an old, stale, peace of nostalgia back to life for a new generation to enjoy. Not only does it keep an old 80s bit of history alive but, it helps build bridges between children and their parents as they can share a part of their childhood with each other that will last a life time.

This movie is a 10/10 because I Hate Everything. Now you know or you don't

This was a wonderful fun film with fantastic music and a great family friendly message. There were great actors in it like Tony hale, (and of course Jason lee) but also great cameos. My kids were dancing for half the movie. Seemed smarter and heart warming than most. We loved it! I would recommend to anyone, even people not familiar with the franchise as it seemed to play great for kids and also the adults! It plays like a musical with pretty incredible dance sequences. And the music seemed hipper than usual. Kids are already asking to see it again, so will probably go back before new years. We also loved the message about blended families in it, the ending is really sweet, and makes you feel great when you come out of the theater.

Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip fmovies. I loved this movie. Let me tell you personally, it is a thousand times better than Star Wars: TFA. Of course, TFA is a great movie; however it does not live up to the standards set by this masterpiece of a movie.

Brilliant story, brilliant performance, brilliant music.

If I could score this an 11/10, I would very happily do so.

These films based on cartoons are not works of art, but they never try to be. For anybody that loves an Alvin and the Chipmunks cartoon, we'll probably enjoy this like you where entertained by the first three. The Chipmunks have a misadventure like road trip. I don't want to give to much away. This is just a fun ride, nothing more, it just a film to sit and watch and forget about your problems.

Now Jason Lee as Dave looks like he only got five hours of sleep, kind of have the feel he doesn't want to be there. Tony Hale has some the funniest moments has a marshal chasing the chipmunks, he has a Steve Martin like thing going for him. It's a cartoon movie nothing more, I like it more than Yoga Bear and Scooby Doo.

When people write that they hate this movie and that it's awful, they seem to forget what this movie tries to do. It's a fun kids movie. I just watched all the now four movies with the chipmunks and I liked each one of them. This franchise has unlimited potential, lovely characters and an original idea. Love the cameos by real stars and their remakes of popular songs. This movie has a bit of a weak plot. They didn't really go on a road trip, they visited a bar in Texas and the rest of their stops we only saw through a short montage with them singing to get money for public transport. but in a kids movie, who cares!? I enjoyed it so much! The song that they sing in the end is so great! Cried man tears ;)
