Shubh Mangal Saavdhan (2017)

What's Good: The balance between going vulgar & explaining something very adult, performances by everyone (By everyone, I meant even the guy who plays band in the wedding).What's Bad: Swaying away from reality in 2nd half & nothing.Loo Break: Umm, only if you want to miss a brilliant scene (Because there are many at regular intervals).Watch or Not?: Unquestionably! Watch & laugh your heart aloud throughout the film.

When the action stays between the two main leads, whom we have seen play so well together in Dumb Laga Ke Haisha, the film comes together, terrible pun fully intended. Pednekar once again reminds us just how convincing she can be as a real honest-to-goodness young woman in search of love. And Khurrana once again is in fine fettle: from a brawny Punjabi fertile Aryan 'puttar' that he plays in Vicky Donor to a fellow who can't, he's inhabited both ends of spectrum, showing no performance anxiety at all.

Is it possible to create a Hindi film around the 'touchy' subject of erectile dysfunction without being downright crass about it? Turns out that it is, and quite a funny one at that. This is largely because the charming lead pair has an affable chemistry between them, which doesn't come across too forced - an absolutely essential element when dealing with such a private 'Gents problem', as the film calls it.For some reason, the writers come up with an unconvincing turning point towards the end, followed by a few more absurd sequences. That aside, 'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan' keeps you entertained long enough to make it worth a watch.

Fmovies: For me to choose between those brainless comedies and a comedy like this one, on any day I would choose this one. The movie highlights story of love birds where male suffers from impotency and still they get married. It happens all because of confidence from female lead and great response from male lead.

It is as if yesterday I was explaining my friend Viagra sustains erection and does not put one. To be frank I don't know the truth, but after googling I know it is used for the cases dealing with erectile dysfunction (impotency). For being a man of Science, it would have not mattered to me additional ten minutes in that direction. Yes it would have put light on some curiosity even if end would have been the same.

It's a humorous treat friends, general audience would like it too. Spend your penny, you won't be disappointed.

Follows the story of Mudit Sharma (Ayushmann Khurrana) and Sugandha (Bhumi Pednekar) who meets each other and sent sends online marriage proposal. They get close to each other and try to involve physically. Then Mudit finds that he has "Erectile dysfunction". This gives a brilliant and out of the box storyline. But ..... **SPOILERS** Here comes the problem. Weak story, cheap hundred years old Indian romantic dialogue, unnecessary melodrama and irrelevant scent in compear to the social life and practicality makes the film irritating. For example, in one scene they both enter a room to have sex in front of all and they all bet whether he will be able to do sex or not. This is unexpected in Indian reserved tradition.

Overall it is a disappointing film to watch.

Shubh Mangal Saavdhan fmovies. Shubh Mangal Saavdhan tries too hard to be perceived as a comedy drama, but all that it manages to do during its 100+ running time can be described as below average stuff. The central idea of a man (Ayushmann Khurrana) realizing that he has erectile dysfunction (ED) and that his fiancee (Bhumi Pednekar) tries to help him find a solution is pretty interesting, but that's all the film has in store for us. The treatment of the story - where not once do they mention ED or anything obscene - is the second best and the only satisfying thing about Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. The problem is that there is not enough content to fill the balloon here, and the few jokes and witty dialogues that have been sprinkled here and there fall short. Somewhere you get the inkling that this whole thing is going to turn into a mess, thanks to the over-decorated characters, and unfortunately that's what the climax is. Khurrana plays decently but Pednekar becomes nauseating as this typecast role that she's been playing ever since she entered Bollywood. Overall, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is a rushed effort at showcasing exaggerated buffoonery at an Indian wedding. There is no special need to appreciate this kind of hyperbole even if it's meant for humor. TN.

One of the worst movies I have ever seen. The worst movie I have ever seen before this was Roy, but trust me this movie has surpassed Roy in terms of story, direction and performances. A complete Nonsense. This could have been made a very good short movie of 20 minutes, but stretching it to 2 hours is really unendurable. If you have poor sense of humor, you might like the obsolete and forced jokes, but otherwise it is a complete piece of crap. I was only able to bear this torture till interval, but trust me spend your time with your family or at home or read something or even count sheep, but don't dare to watch this movie. Trust me friends, we were around 15 friends and all of them were very happy to leave the movie in the middle and everyone was exhausted.

Poor story, direction, forced and repetitive jokes and teachings made this movie "AN UNBEARABLE TORTURE". DON'T DARE TO GO.

excellent performances from both leads, lives upto the expectations post dumb laga ke haisha. they both choose good films which cover sensitive and real topics, making their viewing even better. disappointing to learn the story is a remake, therefore not an original, but, a great film none the less. the ending is slightly off putting as it becomes too unrealistic and quite bollywood. songs not so great, there could have been a nice romantic number by ayushman khurrana himself would have made the film better.
