This is really funny comedy. I nearly ignored it due to low rating, however I am pleased, I have not. I would recommend to watch it. The movie made me lough out loud, some scenes were really funny. Casting is also pretty good, as for grown ups and very young actors too. The story is predictable, yet interesting.
Fmovies: My daughter wanted to watch this and the characters and story were so fun and engaging I ended up having a blast. Salma is as always superb and lovely. Eugenio was a riot, funny lovable and useless. The story was completely original and very funny which is rare.
Hollywood would like to think they have the corner on the world but truth be told Hollywood is run by the demographic committees. Thats what makes films like this one, so superb. Its just good fun with great characters a little lesson and a perfect ending.
I would even watch it again (don't tell anyone I said that)
Don't expect an Oscar winner, but my wife and I laughed out loud a number of times.
All of main actors did very good jobs. Selma Hayek was excellent, and is certainly nice to look at.
I hadn't heard of the lead actor, but he is a hoot.
The plot is obviously contrived, and the ending is somewhat predictable. But, I am a sucker for that. My wife and I both enjoyed it.
How to Be a Latin Lover fmovies. This movie is hilarious! It works for any occasion, you'll laugh and have a great time.
Eugenio and Salma were meant to be together on screen, their chemistry makes the audience believe they have been siblings forever.
The story manages to show a funny premise, combined with a family-heartwarming tale that only Eugenio knows how to pull off. It's family friendly, and still funny for adults.

Most comedies that have been released this year were pretty much horrendous and treat viewers like they have an IQ of -50. With that being said, How to Be a Latin Lover is a true breath of fresh air, it's been a while since a movie made me feel this good and it definitely deserves a higher rating that 5.8.
The storyline is simple, main characters charming, writing witty, the acting is top-notch especially from Eugenio Derbez, the jokes are not forced which is a rarity nowadays and there are many laugh out loud moments that are nicely spread throughout the movie so it never loses momentum and becomes dull despite being almost 2 hours long.
If you are looking for a quality charming feel-good movie don't miss this one and ignore all the bad reviews, fun is guaranteed.
was excited to watch this as the trailer was funny.....low IMDb rating got me doubting whether i should go to the movie hall for this...glad i went. it was very funny, well scripted, well acted and not one of those over the top weird obscene comedies...theater was a mix of elder people, kids, adults and everyone laughed throughout the movie....it had genuine humor and good emotional content too... cast was great, salma hayek is a delight to watch , the kid who played her son was so cute, brother sister relationship was well crafted, ...i left the hall smiling...
