Good on Paper (2021)

You'd think this would have some funny stand-up routines but they are not funny. Maybe mildly amusing but certainly not funny.

Fmovies: The movie is a lot of things but funny isn't one of them.

Now let's be honest none of us paid extra to watch this movie on Netflix. For the medium that it appears on this is a really fun movie, Iliza and Margaret have really good chemistry together and you believe that they could be friends. The story isn't terribly complicated, but it is a different way of telling a familiar story. I found the jokes to be funny and I liked how the stand up was worked into the movie. Is this movie going to go up for an Oscar...no, but it is definitely entertaining and worth a watch.

Good on Paper fmovies. This is a really good movie. I don't understand why it's already getting such low ratings. The acting is good. The storyline is simple but very refreshing to watch. It's funny. It keeps you glued to your seat. This is a very well done movie. I absolutely loved it. You should watch it and I promise you won't regret you ever did!

Addition: I'm going through the reviews and I'm reading all sorts of bad reviews and I'm like whaaat?! Did we all watch the same movie? It genuinely baffles me how people rate this movie. It's like they decide to hate even before they watch it...assuming they watched it. This movie is fantastic. It's real. It's absolutely funny!!! It cuts right to the chase. It's engaging and very refreshing. Ignore the reviews of those who have nothing better to do than to come on here and write bad reviews for movies they've probably not seen.

I wanted to like this movie but it was a rough watch. The jokes felt a bit lazy, the scenes too exaggerated, and the ending felt unrealistic and as though it was simply trying too hard.

I love Iliza but this was weird and hard to watch.

I don't understand what they wanted to do... the storyline had potential but they didn't manage well.
