Watching this I mainly noticed the ad placements. DHL, Aquawhite Strips, Rockstar and more. It's one product placement after another. It's quite obvious how this movie got its funding. Jessica Simpson's "acting" is laughable. Andy Dick shouldn't ever get work because he plays the same lame character. The "story" is just a backdrop for this very long commercial. I can't believe this movie was even considered for theatrical release. The longer you watch this movie the more you're embarrassed for everyone involved. The only minor saving grace is Larry Miller and Rachael Lee Cook, who gets almost no screen time as Jessica's cousin. I'm embarrassed I watched the whole thing. I would recommend avoiding this one.

Fmovies: This film is about a small town girl going to New York to surprise her fiancé, only to find that her fiancé is dumping her. She stays in New York and finds big success.

I am surprised by the negativity around most of the comments. It's true that "Blonde Ambition" is not Oscar material, but you should already know that before watching it.

Jessica Simpson's character is cute and likable. The plot is actually not bad. It is funny and light hearted. I really enjoyed watching Katie and Ben being together. Unlike other romantic comedies, office politics get a big part of the film. And have I mentioned that Freddy is really hilarious?

"Blonde Ambition" made me smile and I felt happy after watching it. I think it is a great brain off romantic comedy. The only complaint I have is the constant un-subtle product advertising, which gets annoying and out of place at times.

Okay, I heard a lot from this movie being bad, being not well written, unsuccessful in limited release, Jessica Simpson in it, blah, blah, blah...

I've seen it, was a breeze compared to other movies which tried to be 'good' when I came in, and those ones deceived me all the way. Not this one ! Let's give credit to Jessica Simpson here: she does her best, not the best actress in the world, but at least she is in a situation where she does not want to be the usual 'ditzy blonde', but make her place in a tough world...

The supporting cast is OK (reason I watched is that Rachael Leigh Cook had a supporting role, a good performance, but too overshadowed...). Just watch an aging Penny Marshall making a reference to Milwaukee (if you remember her days as Laverne DiFazio in Laverne and Shirley...), it's worth to hear.

To watch if you like Jessica Simpson mostly, she is almost in every scene...

At least, this movie can't be that bad...

Blonde Ambition fmovies. I'm sorry but this movie is not as bad as most people are making it out to be. It has an excellent cast, and it's a nice little story. The story isn't a very uncommon story, though, still good. Jessica Simpson is actually an OK actress and many of her goofy scenes actually put a smile on my face.

Also, as mentioned, it was a great cast. Luke Wilson, Andy Dick, Rachel Liegh Cook, Larry Miller... jeez I could keep going.

But don't read what all the people here are saying. If you look around IMDb you'll see that it's usually the same people over and over who are constantly dissing movies.

Watch and judge for yourself!!!!!!!

I saw this movie on the internet, and it was nothing but a waste of time and money. Jessica Simpson is a terrible actress and her recent music records have failed. Since divorcing, she has pretty much nothing, very little talent. And she must love showing off her dark roots.

The movie is about a small town girl, Katie, moving to New York City to surprise her boyfriend. Only to find out he's cheating on her. She stays with her friend and gets a secretarial job because the vice president of the company wants the president to fail, so she can take over. Katie makes mistakes, but everything always turns out OK and she must help her boss save his job. Luke Wilson, plays Ben, the romantic interests who basically does nothing.

There was nothing funny nor even amusing about this movie. It was boring with a terrible script. I know why it's going straight to DVD.

FINAL VERDICT: It stars Jessica Simpson. Need I say more. A complete and total bomb.

This was a silly movie with a predictable storyline and dreadful acting!! Willy Nelson was as stiff as his braids. The movie just seemed like a very long advert for the bright red lipstick that Jessica Simpson wore - especially as there were so many close-ups on her face. The premise was not amusing and as I said - soooooooo predictable. Whatever money was spent on making this movie was a shameful waste. Any allusions to other old Marilyn Monroe movies did not enhance the viewing of Blonde Ambition at all. It was also so unbelievable - Jessica Simpson being able to step into an executive secretary position at the drop of a hat - that was laughable!!!
