Do not watch this movie. Waste my time and money. Actors was not really great. Not scary at all. Boring. Buildup was very slow, took 30 mins to introduce the actors and background. Low Budget Production.
Fmovies: The scenes are jumped quickly. scares are expected and predictable. A lot of cut scenes, can be quite confusing. Low Budget movie overall. Props used are of poor quality. Effects (moving of chairs, flickering of lights, eye contact lenses of scarers) are all obviously staged and artificial. (I could literally see the contact lenses and strings to make effects).
The plot of the story is poor and doesn't link up. It's not interesting at all. Wouldn't recommend anyone to watch it.
Kieran is a uni student who comes into a new job at a cemetery. Unlike other films in this genre, most of the film is unpredictable and keeps you guessing on what is going to happen next.
You can tell a lot of thought went into the writing of this story and it pays off for the most part.
The cinematography is really well done, and the acting is 3-dimensional.
Some of the scenes could have had a bit more tension, but don't let that fool you from the film having an intricate story that keeps you wondering what's happening until the end.
9/10 for a great story and feel to the film.
Aiyai: Wrathful Soul fmovies. You would be fooled if you didn't know this was a low budget film. Perfectly cast and written, the cinematography with special affects is par with the Hollywood block buster films out there. This film kept me glued to my seat, the story line is engaging, and unlike too many modern horror films, the scares in "It" aren't dictated by an assault of noise. Also was impressed to see it was the directors debut. I'm looking forward to see what is next.
Aiyai: Wrathful Soul, delivers an exotic and multicultural flavour to the psychological supernatural thriller genre.
Filmed in Australia with a solid cast, it does incredibly well shining a light on a new shadow that we haven't seen before.
The story is compelling with the right amount of tension and scares and keeps you enthralled right until it's conclusion.
I would absolutely encourage watching this film.
A definite 9/10.
This story offers a lot of twists while giving the viewers on a roller coaster of a journey in the realm of the supernatural.
It is a dark and gritty take on the more cerebral, darker aspects of the human mind while having a surrealist influence.
The camera work gives you a real sense of immersion in an almost voyeuristic way, which definitely suits the story.
The actors are well cast and their performances give real weight and perspective, making you a Participant in the story.
One of my favourite aspects of this film is the location... its almost a character of its own; a foreboding and hostile one (the lighting speaks to this greatly).
