User Reviews
Enjoyed the film thoroughly. Except for a couple of years, it's well-documented. The two goofs I cut were references to Belize which was not created until 1981 - previously it was British Honduras and The singing of Duran Duran's hit "hungry like the wolf" in 1981, when it was not released until September 1982. The rest of the film is solid and the based well researched and documented events. Anyone can see that people accusing it of being propaganda are ill-educated victims of propaganda themselves, from their ridiculous hyperbole alone. This is a 99% solid film. Highly recommended.
Fmovies: It always amazes me how negative people can be when reviewing a movie. How anyone can find fault with this flick is beyond me. I guess some people are just miserable and have to pick everything apart. Propaganda? This isn't propaganda, as one reviewer stated. What is, is a fictionalized account of a powerful and moving true story.
Don't listen to the negative reviews, find out for yourself.
As with all of the Netflix films I've seen there is no character development, story seems to move too quickly and seems a bit jumpy. This means that I couldn't care less what happens to any of the characters as you don't feel for them. This film is better than Triple Frontier but it still left me wondering how Netflix are getting away with using college grade producers.
The Red Sea Diving Resort fmovies. A tense throwback to the thrillers of the 1970s, Red Sea is about the aided exodus of Jews from Ethiopia by Israel in the late 70s. The script, direction and cast, main and supporting, are pretty much faultless and Chris Evans proves, without doubt, that there is life beyond the MCU; the boy can act. I do question political and religious bias, especially in light of Israel's record on human rights; however, I do not question heart and entertainment value. A great film. See it.
Much better than I thought. It is very well done: True stories are always the best. This is very well cast and directed. Chris Evans and Michael Williams are superb in their respective roles. Greg Kinnear and the rest of the cast are very good as well. A must see.
One of the very few Netflix movies I've liked. Wonderful pacing and acting, based on a true story that I never knew existed, that now I'll never forget. I couldn't stop watching. Very well done!
