Smosh: The Movie (2015)

I went into this movie thinking what pretty much what everyone else was probably thinking, that it would be a 90 minute YouTube video with Smosh in it! I mean, that's what it emphasized in the trailer. But, there are so many unexpected curve-balls that make this movie better than what the trailer made it appear to be! I don't want to give away too much, but the ending is the best part because it becomes aware of the first ever Smosh video, which was the Pokemon song being lip synced by Ian and Anthony. The great thing about this movie is that it actually seems like a movie and not like a feature length Smosh video and it pays tribute to the original fans! Now, I'm not saying that this is a perfect movie, mind you! Some of the dialogue was cheesy and the special effects look like they're from an actual Smosh video. Also, the acting wasn't all that great either. All in all, this movie is not for everybody! If you are a fan of Smosh and/or you like B movie style films, then you'll probably like this movie! On the other hand, if you're neither of those things, then you'll probably hate it!

Fmovies: I watched it because I wanted to see another youtuber(s) movie. Lets say, Shane's film was way better. I'm sorry for true smosh fans, but its the crappiest film I've ever seen. I rather watch 2 girls 1 cup. CGI was bad, and I hate CGI. Character names were really bad, and I didn't laugh at all. I give it 1/10 because I can't go to the negatives. Good try at making a film. But some talent shouldn't been extended. Like I know my short films are crap, but 1.5 hours of crappy acting, effects, dialogue and pretty much everything. And a rip off pokemon!! I'm not a fan anymore of it, but wtf, like a rip off. I need to stop writing my review before a fan gets really emotional.

Smosh: The Movie is a great and fun ride for a huge Smosh fan. But, any other movie goer would be disappointed. Don't get me wrong here, Smosh has some few good laughs (In this movie too) and I enjoy some of their content. Though, the movie seemed bad as a whole. The entire thing is littered with plot holes and the story is typical guy gets the girl. Also, the dialogue is a bit choppy seeming to be only a rough draft and not thought over well. Not to mention that the acting is mediocre and some of the performances were just cameos to sell YouTubers.

If you really love Smosh then you will enjoy the movie, but otherwise it's one giant commercial for Smosh/YouTube.

Smosh: The Movie fmovies. Being a fan of Smosh since 2007, I have watched them grow over the years.They have been making short clips of humor which was indeed quirky with cheap laughs. That's what I liked about them.

But over the years, the jokes were getting a little dry or dull in some sense, maybe it gets harder to innovate. This movie is really worse off compared to their Youtube videos.

Someone said; it looks like they are forcing themselves to act. I agree with that. Smosh is likely a client, handing off their ideas to shitty producers who didn't grasp how Smosh is like.

They probably gave the responsibility of the movie to some D-Grade producers, with little involvement with it. Once you look at their effects and CGI involved in it, you know how half-assed is done. And can you imagine that over 200 people were involved in this?! It looks like is done by a smaller crew. That budget spent...

When acting, they're just called from point A to point B. Monotonous dialogue with barely any humor. Ridiculous scenarios and predictable clichés shows how poorly the script and plot were done.

The plot really had potential, I liked the concept where you could actually travel into youtube to change the videos from the inside. That was really cool. It's such a shame that it was poorly done.

I know Smosh tried. I can tell there was effort put into it, but the choice of crew members was probably the reason why everything sucked.

Maybe they didn't want to spend so much to produce a movie, so they gotpeople who were cheaper to hire. However that means that they don't really care much about promoting Smosh, but just about getting the job done and getting paid.

I'll give a 6 for effort and for being a fan of them. But overall, it was painful to watch indeed, I didn't find it memorable nor funny. If it was a movie with the same quality but by a movie producer, I probably have given it a 4 or so.

I was scared going into this, I thought this would be insulting trash. Turns out it's just boring trash. It's not insulting like any other YouTuber movie like F the Prom or Not Cool. Smosh the movie is just lifeless and bland, and I'm fine with that. At least it's not some disgusting comedy film that tries too hard. I would take a boring comedy film over that any day. Overall, Smosh the movie is doable, if you're not interested in watching a good film.

Okay first of all I never heard about Smosh. I say that because apparently after watching the movie and reading some reviews afterwards, I read that those guys actually make you-tube videos. Well I sincerely hope for them that they are better then this crap. Because I can assure you that this movie will go in my top ten most awful movies ever made. This movie must be made by a six year old. It's not possible otherwise. The amount of garbage per minute is incredible. I didn't think it was possible to make such a bad movie. They proved me wrong. If somebody writes something good about this movie then he is or acting in the movie himself, or he is related to one of the actors, or he is just mentally retarded. Don't get fooled by anybody that gives more then one star for this garbage. A zero star would be better but it's not possible to give on IMDb. So I repeat: do not watch this garbage, it's a waste of your precious time on earth. You will regret it for your whole life. Well at least I do.
