Home Sweet Hell (2015)

The chemistry between Heigl and Wilson are excellent to play their roles. It is a dark comedy of an unhappy, sex-deprived husband and his control freak wife that made the whole plot full of twist and turns with sex, drugs and murder not suitable for young children. Brewster was also very sexy in this movie and the antagonists are not to be messed with either.

The movie itself was well-written and I wasn't really expecting anything from this movie but it delivered the theme it wants to portray quite well. It kept my attention all throughout the film which Hollywood rarely does these days. Will I watch it again or recommend it with friends? Oh, definitely! Good job guys!

Fmovies: This film tells the story of a furniture salesman who seems to have the perfect suburban life. He has an affair with an employee, and his life and his wife goes awfully wrong.

I thought "Home Sweet Hell" was a romantic comedy, but it turns out it's actually a new hybrid of romantic comedy slasher! Katherine Heigl plays an obsessional turns psychopathic wife, breaking her run as the new queen of romantic comedy. She looks so different from her other films, she conveys the stone cold and ruthless attitude required for the role. Patrick Wilson is great as a helpless husband. The whole film is quite funny, despite some gruesome scenes not typically in a romantic comedy. Overall, I enjoyed watching "Home Sweet Hell".

"Perception is everything." Don Champagne (Wilson) has the perfect life, at least it looks that way to everyone else. He runs a car dealership with his friend and is married to Mona (Heigle). She wants everything in her life to be perfect and will stop at nothing to make sure it is. Perfection begins to waver when Don hires a new saleswoman. This is a funny but very dark comedy. I enjoyed it but this is not a movie for everyone. From everything I have heard about Katherine Heigle in the news this seems like the perfect part for her. There really isn't a whole lot to say about this movie other than that. If you like dark comedies like Tucker and Dale or Very Bad Things you will like this. The movie isn't all that original and the cast really makes it better than it is. Overall, if you are a fan of dark comedies this is worth seeing. If you offend easy I would avoid this. I give it a B.

Home Sweet Hell fmovies. Loved the story since i'v seen the trailer but the movie started just a little bit slow like they've needed 35 minutes to build up to the main plot of a 80 minutes movie !! well after that it peaked to the level i expected, As i thought they would give a little unpredictable surprise to make it look different than what they revealed in the trailer, Well there were a bunch of them,,The last 20 minutes had A Boom Boom. ;)

So the the idea is fresh, new for me, the storyline gets really good after the first half of the movie .. and it surprisingly got thrilling in a way , i gotta be honest thou the Dark Comedy side seemed to be overpowered by the Drama one in some minutes,, Apart from the dorky innocent tense comic acting (which i sorta liked) by "Patrick Wilson" i didn't see any :P but again that was the whole idea and it worked out nicely after the middle of the movie ... maybe it was just me because i really wanted to watch a pure comedy movie ;)

The cast is nice ,, i love "Katherine Heigl" i mean she's so HOT and yeah talented too ;D, her role here didn't give her more of her funny side but she engaged well in the character ... "Patrick Wilson" also did a good job, the appearance of "James Belushi" was also cool ;)

Overall the movie worked out just fine,, and it was enjoyable on an bit above average.

The latest dark comedy, which has the two inconsistent actors in the lead. Well, I liked their performance, they competed each others to steal the show in their unique characters. I enjoyed watching it in parts, but frankly I am disappointed for this potential theme was misused for ineffectual narration.

Looks like inspired by 'Serial Mom'. When a little, strange but a happy family who are living by the storybook of their own was threatened by the dark side of the life, they are ready to jump into the hell to save it. They have ignited it, but the only concern is how to end it all for good.

Other than IMDb where it stands average, the movie was slammed very badly by the critics and moviegoers. I have seen even worse than this one. So to me it is an average except the end, otherwise below average. Yes, the conclusion was terrible, seems like they don't want a continuation. I mean they wanted to end it all here itself. It is a watchable, but simply not the best one.

Don Champagne (Patrick Wilson) seems to live the American Dream; he has a successful family business selling furniture; he lives in a comfortable house in the suburbs; he has the perfect wife Mona Champagne (Katherine Heigl) and the perfect children Allison (Madison Wolfe) and Andrew (Aiden Flowers). However Mona is a cold woman that schedules the days that Don may have sex with her. When Don hires the gorgeous saleswoman Dusty (Jordana Brewster) to work with his salesman Les (Jim Belushi), they have a torrid love affair. Soon Dusty tells to Don that she is pregnant and has the intention of keeping the baby. Don does not have money that belongs to Mona but Les offers to lend some money to him. He offers thirteen thousand dollars to Dusty, but she blackmails him. Without any way out, Don discloses his affair with Dusty to Mona and she tells that he must kill Dusty to protect their family. But what they do not know is that Dusty is a swindler and lover of a dangerous gangster and his gang wants to take money from the Champagne family.

"Home Sweet Hell" is a very dark joke with the American Dream. Don and Mona seem to have the perfect life, but there is a sex problem between them. When Mona sees the risk of her programmed life be shattered by a blackmailer, she does not hesitate to get rid of the woman. The black humor is too dark and the conclusion with Mona totally out of control is inconsistent with her personality. My vote is five.
