When movies make you think, ask the hard questions, and you have to rewatch it again ...that's the movie for me.
Hollywood has become comfortably numb, with sequels, prequels that tell the same story over and over again, originality has been sucked dry, and art has been turned into commercialism enough!
This is a brave step forward in the world of the mundane piles of crap out there.
If you are looking for bold, where you have to actually use your brain, then this is the movie you have been waiting to see.
Fmovies: I'm impressed. A real psycho horror with a brilliant storyline that had me guessing right to the end. This does start messing with your mind at parts but really this is a must see if your into this genre. Giving this a 8, watch it!
Brilliantly written, cast of characters is superb. It's definitely a horror flick with some weird humor that jumps out at you when you least expect it. This film keeps you glued to your seat the entire time you're watching it.. It's one of those movies you won't mind watching again because you will get something you may have missed previously.
Lots of twists and turns. Probably not your average horror film so strap yourselves in. Quite an interesting plot.
Girl Next fmovies. Wow. Can a horror flick be done with class? This movie is a resounding yes! What some see as a simplistic story line is actually an extremely rich and complex exposé of high end human trafficking. If you don't see it, you aren't looking hard enough. "You never do." (Quote from The Dollhouse)
I can understand some saying the hallucinations and the sex scenes are gratuitous, but no. They are telling a very specific truth about how the mind kontrol is accomplished. Every bit is needed. It means something. Think about it!
You're missing all the twists of who is manipulating who and how the "change" process works, if you think this movie is simplistic. It is very rich. Every aspect could be a study on its own. The drugs. The relationships. The sex. The torture. The betrayals. It's all crucial to achieving the mind kontrolled slave.
The story writer did a great job. Key phrases and words. Just wow. It made a difficult topic able to be digested in the fun genre of classic horror style. Bravo.
A hot young woman (Lorian) gets abducted and taken to a luxurious hidden ranch out west where a sophisticated, Euro, drug addicted couple (Misha and Heinrich) conduct MK ultra experiments and torture to break the mind and will of the young woman. The couple plan to sell the young MK woman to the highest bidder. But something happens along the way. Turns out that the pretty abducted woman isn't we thought she was. What an unexpected yet, realistic plot twist.
Being a fan of gore and zombie films, I came to this movie expecting to sit back, get entertained by the usual low budget blood-n-guts and simple storytelling and cornball acting. Instead I watched a highly intelligent story and amazing cinematography and editing. Realistic, not campy acting by Paula Marcenaro, Marcus Jean Pirae and Rachel Alig. Going to look into the actors, director and writer to see if there are some more hidden treasures.
If your a fan of psychological-supernatural-thrillers with believable gore, make sure you see "Girl Next". Watching with the subtitles on helps with grasping the tightness of this this action packed story.
Holy s$!t!!! Where did this little mind twister come from?
What starts as a pretty trite #MeToo like narrative, quickly dissolve into glorious surrealism and ultimately madness.
Seriously, it's like watching one of those creatively drug fueled exploitation films from the 70s only it's right here smackdab in the middle of the PC. Center that is the 21th century.
If you like it messy, go watch this ASAP.
