This movie does the impossible. It is a sequel that is better than the original, it takes the zombie genre and makes it interesting again, it also leaves room for a third movie without it looking shoehorned in.

Funny, gory and tense but you also have some scenes with really good acting. This raises the bar for the movie "stakeland 2 " whenever that comes out.

I gave it an extra star for the surprising end scene... didn't see that one coming.

There are still some loose ends that i would like to see wrapped up in a third movie, but anyone that liked stakeland, evil dead, braindead or comedy zombiemovies in general - this is a must see.

Fmovies: I personally thought the first one was better. This one tried and I appreciate the effort that is put into this. But it just felt way too drawn out and the over the top moments seemed more silly than it actually being cool. There is no suspense or anything all that cool really, even if it has over the top blood and gore scenes. While the zombies were actually kind of intimidating and creepy in the first one it, just isn't the case here. I thought some ideas that are dumb and clever at the same time sort of worked, even if it doesn't make much sense if you think about it. Yeah, they created a new genre of zombies, but that doesn't make it particularly good or anything. So the zombies knows how to talk, communicate, fist fight, use weapons and be able to run. And the head of the zombie pack can resurrect the dead, without much explanation. The first "Dead Snow" was a survival movie...Well sort of. This one is a zombie brawl, it's somewhat entertaining for a while but it loses it's flavor quickly. I give this flick a 6.3/10 because of the effort, even if some parts of it seemed quite pointless.

I was waiting for this movie when i saw the first one and my wait was not wasted. This is the best zombie movie in last few years. I've seen countless zombie films but this one is going to stay in my mind for very long. When you started thinking that things couldn't get much worse that was actually the beginning of the hell happened in this part. This is a blast from beginning to end. The cast is very well chosen, each one is different and you really care for the characters. The main actor does a excellent job as he is better, funnier and interesting than he was ever. If you thought the first one was good, wait till you see this. Please don't try to find out too much about the movie just go and watch it. I bet if you like the first one than this is tailor made for you. I am rating a "Død Snø 2" a solid and well-deserved 10 out of 10 stars. If you ever love zombie movie you gonna like this one. I also recommend it even to people who aren't into zombie flicks because you are one step away becoming one. Don't waste time reading many reviews just go and watch.

Dead Snow 2: Red vs. Dead fmovies. This is a blast from beginning to end. Yes it borrows from Evil Dead and all the other classics from that time but it doesn't pretend not to. It doesn't take itself too seriously and this is obvious throughout the film and is so enjoyable to watch. I was brought up on the early eighties triple 'XXX' horror movies on my parents VHS machine. The likes of 'Scanners', 'The Exterminator'. Heck, once word got around that I had a copy of 'Scanners' I had all my mates and a few gatecrashers from the village round for the Premiere one Saturday afternoon. This is so over the top and I loved it. If you are a fan of this genre you will enjoy it. 'American Werewolf in London' had a similar black humour, this is one to settle back with a few beers and really indulge yourself.

I really really enjoyed this movie! The truth is that i had high expectations with this one but i wasn't let down not once!!!It starts with a small brief of what happened at the first one and gets better and better as it proceeds! The cast is very well chosen, each one is unique and you really care for the characters! The main actor does a great performance as he is better, funnier and interesting than he was before,Of course there are many funny parts so i would say that it is more of a comedy than a horror..the first one was more horror than a comedy in my opinion!!The end is hilarious and there is an after credit scene which prepares everyone for part 3..which makes sense since this movie has to be a trilogy!Thumbs up for this movie people!!I really enjoyed it and i recommend it even to people who aren't into zombie flicks!!

I must admit I enjoyed the first Død snø/Dead Snow which made a new breed of fast running Nazi zombies see the dark of night, as well as the light of day. Some though said it ruined the whole zombie genre. Now we didn't know how to deal with zombies anymore. Not only could they run, they could even think and speak, and they were of the worst imaginable kind - Nazi zombies. Since then zombies all over the world has learned to run like hell, instead of staggering around.

Five years has gone like hours, and Død snø 2/Dead snow: Red vs. Dead has arisen from the soil of Northern Norway, thanks to mad director Tommy Wirkola. The second outing of Dead Snow is on a way bigger budget, thanks to Wirkola has been picked up by Hollywood. That makes a hell of a lot more zombies!

Well what can we expect from the Nazi zombies? Well, they are not your average classic zombies. They are powered in Frankenstein-manner. And so are their opponents. This makes one hell of a ride including a nerdy zombie ghost buster squad from the USA. Yeah, once again the US saves the world!

Dead Snow 2 takes off right where the first ended. Our chain saw cutting hero Martin manages to escape the Nazi zombie hell in Øksfjord i Northern Norway by cutting off his own zombie smitten arm. But his flight ends wrong. He drives the car off the road due to him falling asleep due to rotten radio programming when he is exhausted from his zombie killing frenzy just before. The morning after he wakes up in a hospital, where the police suspecting him for killing off his group of medical student friends. But, it's not all bad. They have managed to sew his off-cutten arm on, a proud doctor says. And so the hell breaks loose again.

If you thought the first was strange and bloody, this is pure zombie splatter like you've never seen before. Not only Zombies are dangerous here. Our own hero will kill off even children in the most horrific ways. It's gut wrenching in all the worst ways.

So for the faint hearted: This is nothing for you! But Dead snow 2 is inventive, fulfilling for the zombie cult following, and is disturbing the whole concept of zombie life. After watching this you hardly know what to be prepared for next.

It's all made with a solid punch of humor, and especially lovable is a zombie school teacher played by Kristoffer Joner, perhaps the most disgustingly cute zombie you've ever experienced. But the police chief is also a real bad ass of a hopeless besserwisser, and we could go on.

Tommy Wirkola has made what is so far the most outrageous zombie extravaganza ever, and is even managing to putting in a zombie love story here to sweeten the bloody cup of zombie slime. And the references for the film buffs are here as well, mostly homages to quite different genres than the zombie genre itself.

There's nothing here indicating a third outing of Dead snow, but this will most certainly be a cult hit the same way the first was. The success at Sundance Film Festival shows that, taking big budget splatter to a new level. A zombie classic, deserving a 9/10, only because of the possibility that Tommy Wirkola has another ace up his sleeve for a third outing, making room for improvement. Be prepare for a total eclipse of the zombie heart!
