Bullet Head (2017)

A somewhat novel story, but completely lacked any credibility and once the stage is set, becomes very predictable. The trailers would have you thinking it is a non-stop thrill ride, but that is not the case as there are several scenes & flash backs that just seem to drag on.

The ending sequence stretched out way too long to the point, you just wanted it to be over. I did watch it all the way through, so maybe 4 stars. Hard to believe Adrien Brody & Malkovich were conned into doing this film. Such a waste of talent.

Fmovies: I just watched this film on Netflix.I really liked it .There was alot of depth to the characters and also to the story.Very well acted a great cast.This is'nt your usual Hollywood routine formulaic shoot em up action heist flick ,its alot more mature than that.Definitely recommend.

Normally , when I see a film that is badly written, badly directed, badly conceived, badly everything, I always consider the actors last, because frankly they are only working with the material laid in front of them, following directions, spouting lines of dialogue written by someone else, etc etc.. So they usually get a pass. In this case however, I have to say that Adrien Brody and John Malkovich cannot be that broke or that desperate to sign up to this absolute shambles of a project. If they had any artistic integrity or self esteem left then they should have jumped ship or at least fire their agent for not assuring them a get out clause, rather than tarnish their careers with engaging in film making that belongs in the garbage bin of mediocrity. Even then I think the bin would protest at its newest resident. Do not let the trailer fool you into thinking ,, maybe worth a watch, you will feel conned at the end.

Bullet Head fmovies. OK, I watch lots of movies, but rarely - maybe once or twice so far - come here and write about them, but when I saw all those negative reviews I felt compelled because this is one of the most touching and clever movies I've watched in recent years. Hollywood has only been producing shit and finding a good movie is almost one in a million and this is one of them. I don't wanna give any spoilers, so I'll write carefully, but first I have to mention the things people said about animal brutality. Yes, there are times I've cried, I had a napkin at hand but mainly because I love animals more than humans, so I can never hold my tears whenever there's cruelty against animals. But, people are the ones doing the cruelty! People are cruel, doing all those horrible things to the animals and this movie is showing this ugly side of humans! Most people are unaware of those terrible, disgusting, inhumane dog fights that people go and play bets on, have fun watching those dogs kill off each other, this is so damn wrong and sick but that is a fact. Dog fights are all around the world and people are making huge money off of them. This movie shows the incredibly beautiful bond between man and an animal (a dog in this case). Finally, what I understood from those reviews is that you have to have an elevated / evolved soul to understand the beauty and truth of this film and those people lack it. Give the CGI and porno filled crap - which makes 95% of Hollywood anyway.

This is a strange film, it's more intriguing than entertaining. The story-line of the participants is the present and flashbacks. It veers from funny to serious, to sad, to scary. You soon know what the fear factor is, and it's not some CGI monster, it's something everyone could relate too. The actors are top rate in keeping you interested, the writer obviously feels strongly about the subplot running through the film as well. It's well worth watching, my only gripe was it should have ended without the added ending.

This was a very good movie and I do not understand the antipathy expressed in some of the reviews.

I normally don't like films where the action takes place in a single location, such as a warehouse or a room -- too confining, and usually low budget.

Sure, there are points which challenge credulity. For example, abandoned warehouses don't still have electrical service and Thompson machine guns run out of ammo, like any other gun. In addition there is the conundrum of how the police could possibly miss the dead guy in the Cadillac out back when they searched the building.

Yet it has a great cast and the flashbacks are entertaining, The production values were relatively high and the performances were above average.

I think including the dog's perspective in the story worked well as well.

I liked the film. I liked it very much.
