This film tells the story of two men in a facility in a post apocalyptic world, whose job is to get up once every six months to keep top scientists alive in their respective sleeping chambers.

"Air" has an interesting story, but it doesn't have enough to keep a ninety minutes runtime. It is slow paced to the point that it appears to be dragging on just for the sake of filling up screen time. The story is told in a confusing manner, and often I have to form my own interpretations of what is happening. There are far too many unanswered questions regarding many aspects of the plot, hence the plot appears messy. It's quite a pity because "Air" has the potential to be captivating.

Fmovies: Found the sense of isolation, seclusion, possible hallucination (?) and building paranoia immersive as I find them intriguing as themes to begin with; kept me glued.

The sense of "unknowing" is vital in this one since leaves viewers with an unsettled feeling. Hence, I like that this gives only enough context without an all-out explanation as a prelude.

Good story about characters thrown together into circumstances beyond their control and how they handle the unexpected.

I found the pace just right, not too fast and not too slow either. Bottom line, I'd watch it again!

Air is a neat little post apocalyptic thriller full of loneliness, claustrophobia, paranoia and two really great lead performances from Norman Reedus and Djimon Hounsou. The two of them play custodians of sorts, in a cramped underground bunker. The world above is bereft of oxygen, forcing humanity to go into cryogenic hibernation. They exist in solitary down there, simple caretakers surrounded by earth's best and brightest scientists, all in silent slumber, leaving the two of them to go mad in the presence of both each other, and their memories. Reedus is Bauer, the slick loudmouth, a somewhat callous man who cares not for the sleeping scholars, his personality calcified into brittle cynicism by time and tragedy. Hounsou is a bit more soulful as Cartwright, haunted by waking visions of his deceased wife (Sandrine Holt) and morally torn when the big bad decisions of the character arc come his way. He believes what they are doing is important, while Bauer could give a crap. Soon there's trouble, and when they venture to a nearby bunker for spare parts, terrible secrets are uncovered and the shaky bond of trust between them starts to disintegrate. The film relies on its two lead actors who are both solid, especially Reedus, whose intensity ramps up in the third act to an unbearable level as secrets of his past are gradually revealed. It's obviously low budget, and as such the special effects and machinery look like they've wandered in from a Roger Corman movie at times, but it kinda works and gives the atmosphere a 'lived in', organic feel. The plot gets murky and could have done with a bit more simplicity as it trips on itself in attempts to be complex, but it's still character based at its core, and in that regard it succeeds nicely. See it for its two stars, who are given a nice dystopian arena to play in, and tell a story through emotional beats, personal crisis and mounting unease quite well.

Air fmovies. an excellent and thought provoking film set in a very realistic and enthralling vision of the future, discussing the toxicity of our civilization and results of an unsettling chemical war. this is a movie definitely for those who love creepy atmospheres and unsettling scenarios, whilst questioning the film's two main character's loyalties to each other and the government.

I'm not sure what is with other people, but I thought this movie was very good. Maybe they just can't enjoy something that is not a big blockbuster budget mega action movie.

I enjoyed the entire movie. I thought the story, acting, set were all good and kept me watching and thinking the entire time. Never once did I think it was boring or wish that it would hurry up already. I thought both main characters were very good and I was never sure who I really wanted to root for.

There were only a few places where I thought things wouldn't have gone the way they did them but maybe that is just me.

Yes, I would definitely recommend this movie if you like to think and feel rather than just be entertained.

For a movie called Air, it sure feels tiresomely suffocating. The overall concept is about two men who wake up from stasis sleep to do critical housekeeping on a post-apocalyptic facility. It brings the usual gloomy ambiance and the two actors do possess good acting performance, but the movie is utterly boring. Low on production and very tediously paced, it's almost like a forced prolonged short movie.

Bauer (Norman Reedus) and Cartwright (Djimon Hounsou) work on the ark facility where periodically they would wake up to keep things running. With small cast and setting, the main focus here is the human drama between these two as they troubleshoot any faults in the station while questioning their own sanity.

Plot-wise it's not very complex, there's not much developments or twists, at least not outside the stereotypical sci-fi movies. The back story is told with various clips or narration from both characters, which can feel detached and lackluster at times. Norman Reedus and Djimon Hounsou have decent on-screen presences, however the material is spread too thinly and they struggle to produce any excitement from the barren plot.

That's the main problem of Air, it simply doesn't have enough gas to keep the momentum going. Note that the runtime is the average ninety minutes for a very small scale movie, furthermore it utilizes repetitive themes for filling. It teases the slightly dysfunctional relationship between the two or what mental problem they may have, but these are basic thriller aspects that don't present much thrill in exception of one or two decent scenes.

While the retro 80s futuristic theme can be intriguing and its two leads are capable, most of the movie feels like extended padding. It probably could've done the same with half the runtime, the rest is merely cumbersome trudge over dystopian gig.
