Turkish Ice-Cream (2019)

First of all, what a great movie!! I have never watched such a great movie ever!! Casting was amazing ,the is movie gives reality of the war.You should not miss it!!!

Fmovies: The timing of the movie is remarkable in that it will serve to alleviate some of the white guilt regarding the terror attacks in New Zealand which targeted Muslim immigrants, even though the clueless and incompetent director-producer duo clearly meant this as a glorification of those very people. It's based on the terror attacks of Broken Hill, an event where Muslim immigrants, in a religiously motivated terror attack (aka Islamic Jihad) killed unarmed Australian citizens, you know, because they were of the wrong religion and fighting against those of the right religion. The backlash and the outrage would be inconceivable if a movie similar to this were produced by the Australian film industry, in which past crimes of Australian extremist fanatics were handled in such a glorifying light. So, sleep well, people of Australia ridden with liberal white guilt over the terror attacks in New Zealand, there is nothing uniquely barbaric about your extremists which warrant you to personally take responsibility for their actions and realize that halfway across the globe, a movie exists in which radical Muslims are glorifying their past crimes committed against your civilian population and half the Turkish nation is crazy proud of the notion. I hope, this will put things into perspective a little bit better.

As far as the movie goes, it's artistic value is perhaps less than that of Ayla, another somewhat jingoistic flick made by the same people using the same formula, which in itself was mediocre at best and I'm being quite generous here. As a pair of amateurs targeting an ignorant domestic crowd, director and producer decided what was reasonably well done with Ayla is to be diminished and what stood out as childish drivel is to be exaggerated for the movie to succeed. Well, it succeeded in sucking for sure.

Turk Isi Dondurma is last film of producer Mustafa Uslu. Its director is Can Ulkay. I think they made a great job on production. Set design, costumes, filming places... They all are good. Storytelling is a bit disorganised but it is not so bad either. It is okay for standards of Turkish Cinema. Especially, I liked funny tone of movie. I didn't expect that. On the other hand, movie says this story is a fiction which inspired from a real one. There are so many speculations on it. I don't know the truth but as a film, it is worth to see it at least for Ali Atay and Erkan Kolcak. Both of them are amazing. Also final sequence is amazing too.

Ps: After Cicero, it is great to see foreign actors on roles of foreign characters.

Turkish Ice-Cream fmovies. Perfect cast, perfect visual, but no story, don't waste your time

This is very sensitive and sometimes comic movie, Ali Atay thank you so much.

Inspired by unfortunate events , the story of two imigrants, subjects of Otoman Empire setteled in Australia at the begining of WW1. Film starts as a light comedy, untill the chain of events turns it into serious tragedy. Good production values, solid acting, decent entertaining level bu uncertain tone in the storyline. Worth seeing, though. 8 out of 10 points.
