"Kidnapped" packs one hell of a punch.A Spanish couple and their teenage daughter move to a new house. But during the night all hell breaks loose as the family of three is taken hostage by three masked men.The climax ends in nihilistic bloodshed."Kidnapped" contains twelve scenes and plenty of suspense. In fact as the movie progresses the tension becomes almost unbearable and the violence becomes more ugly and hard-hitting.I must say that since James Watkins "Eden Lake" I haven't seen such vicious and harsh full-length horror debut. The camera work is phenomenal as is the acting,so kudos should go to its director Miguel Angel Vivas. If you liked "Eden Lake","Martyrs","The Strangers","Cherry Tree Lane","Inside" or "A Serbian Movie" check out this savage assault on the viewer's mind.10 kidnappers out of 10.

Fmovies: A very bad attempt to make a movie like Funny Games by Haneke. I felt sorry for the actors, the acting, budget and the camera movements which were very good. But the movie is h-o-r-r-i-b-l-e. Trying so hard to "get" the audience. I had to keep the volume down after a while as it was utterly annoying. Yeah Funny Games was really catchy, lets do another one like it. DUH

So I'll start out by saying i give this film stars at all because the plot is reasonably well written, it IS very scary, and even the ending is not too far from what I think would probably happen in the real world.

Having said that, I took off points for over-the-top gratuity and cameras that focused for very long periods of time on the one most disturbing part of a scene while action unfolds out of frame. Stylistically, this is Hostle-esque albeit much more believable yet with the same sense of pointless brutality (which you might see as over-the-top or a reflection of the violent criminals portrayed, I'm more the former, but some the latter).

This is for sure a movie to watch either alone or with a friend who you KNOW has guts of steel, this movie is shocking and WILL make girls cry so to speak (seriously, my gf would never forgive me if I took her to see a movie even resembling this). So as I said, tread carefully and prepare to put your shocked face on, cuz you're gonna be, I guarantee it; I'm someone who is perturbed by very little in cinema, THIS PERTURBED ME. But I suppose I can't decide if it was worth watching or not, interesting, to be sure.

Kidnapped fmovies. I don't know what kind of people rate this movie low but they certainly don't know anything about movies. This one was incredible. It has tension almost all the way through on quite a high level which is a really rare thing to see. It's this kind of tension that lets you stop moving your body, remain in the exact position and just realize minutes after you didn't freaking move one tiny bit because you were so into this movie. But it's not all about tension, I don't give a rats bottom about what folks said about the actors being bad and so on, that's simply not true in any way imaginable in some moments you even start to feel what "they" feel... It's some scary trip... But besides those things even cinematically it's done really cool because you really feel like your in it and all perspectives were really well chosen although not Hollywood like. There is even a part were the screen is splitted for several minutes and you see two different things at the same time and that's quite a risky thing to do in a movie, but I think they did this amazingly. I think it totally worked how they led those situations together. The music was also nice, simple and slightly playing in the background underlining the situations, absolute bonus on that one. You have the option to see this movie? Jackpot! Go do it.

Just when you thought that this types of movies (that Kidnapped is a part of), might have run dry, fresh blood comes and makes things interesting again (no pun intended). I'm not the biggest fan of those movies since an Austrian took the "Funny" (Games) out of it. But this Spanish effort has a lot going for it.

I liked the actors, I liked the fact that it "went places", that made it different. And while I didn't think it was perfect, the tension it builds (with simple premises) and the fact, that it stays as real as possible (but is still very violent) all build up to an exciting climax. Though I guess that might also be called one of its weakest points, by those who didn't like the movie

Well i was very excited when i went to see this film at the Leeds Film Festival, and being 'Spanglish' i really wanted to like it...

Reading the film summary i believed we, as an audience, would have to endure some very scary, intense and probably uncomfortable scenes before, finally the tables would turn and the family would have their turn to fight back. This was certainly not an accurate summary of the film. The plot was completely different.

The acting wasn't very good. The only decent actor was the daughter of the family. The father and the mother weren't very believable in their acting or their decisions throughout the film. But the worst acting award must go to the the majority of the 'bad guys' who were terrible. Just not scary or believable And the ending? Not worth watching the whole film for. Disappointing overall, i left the cinema feeling a bit cheated.
