Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988)

This is a comeback from the 3rd installment of a horror series. Since part 3 killed him off completely, this part makes it worth it while. On the second installment of Halloween, Michael Myers was blinded by bullets and caught in a explosion by Dr. Loomis( Donald Pleasance). Instead of killing him, he was an invalid, until he started to recover during his transfer to another sanitarium. En route to the sanitarium, he killed the people in the ambulance. And would make his way back to Haddonfield, Illinois. 10 years ago, Michael killed his older sister. He would attack his other sister and killed her other friends. While incarceration, Laurie has a daughter, when she died, the daughter was raised by her stepsister and family. Knowing that her uncle is a killer, it would make her a black sheep to the neighborhood. So, when Michael Myers comes back to town, the killings began anew. And Dr. Loomis would be coming back to stop the menace once again. Part 4 would help remind me of the original nightmare scenario of the first killings. He did kill more people than he did in the earlier years. There's more sex appeal there. The love scene was the hottest thing ever. I just enjoyed this movie a lot, even though it didn't have Jamie Lee Curtis in it, it was great anyway. 4 out of 5 stars.

Halloween 4 picks up 10 years after the original and michael has awaken from the coma he suffered when he was burned in the hospital explosion in part two. Instead of stalking laurie, who suposedly died in a car accident, he tracks down her daughter, his niece. this saga is one of the best in the series.

The acting is great in this film. Danielle Harris is very good in this film and her acting is superb for her age. Ellie cornell is also good as rachel and i wish she was in more films today becasue she is really good.

Great movie with a twist at the end you won't believe. **** out of ****

this was the first Halloween movie I ever saw, and I must say it was the scariest thing I ever lade eyes on. from start to finish my heart was pounding, I'd never seem anything like it before ever. this film was excellent, the first victim dying by getting a thumb through his skull was a little much, but the rest was fine. the nightmare scene is my favorite moment of the film. one of the best scenes in the whole series. if only the film wasn't about to kill the series with films after it(H5,H6). if Akkad wasn't making the sequels, maybe that ten years of crap he made with "the curse" might have been better. the only thing that made me think what the? with this film is when Micheal throws Loomis through the elementary school window. you can see that the shape has on an unaltered mask. everything else is great.

Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers fmovies. The fourth movie of the Halloween series sees the return of Michael Myers and Dr. Loomis. Surprisingly, considering what happened to both of the them at the end of Halloween 2. But, it seems that they brought back Michael Myers for three reasons. First, it is 1980's and it's all about the horror sequels baby!!! Just like Friday the 13th, Amityville, Psycho, Howling, and Nightmare, Halloween couldn't resist the fun. Second, it was the 10 year anniversary of Halloween, so they had to honor Myers by bringing him back again, just like the 20th anniversary for H20. I guess will also see the 25th and 30th anniversary of Halloween with Myers escaping the nursing home on Halloween for these sequels. Finally, they brought him back because of the utter disappointment of Halloween 3, which shouldn't have ever been made. But after these reasons, it isn't that bad a sequel. Good for a late 80's horror movie. ** out of ****

The first time I saw this film, I was bored. I thought it was uneventful. But then, I watched it a second time and loved it. This movie is very suspenseful, has very little blood/gore, and the acting by Danielle Harris is just incredible. I also love Ellis Cornell, she is such a doll! Brady was an idiot to let go of such a cute girl.

Rent this! It's better than II and V.

I saw this for the first time today and agree with many of the posts that it's actually quite good. I had been put off anything to do with Halloween having recently wasted nearly 2 hours of my time and about £10.00 watching the remake which is as bad as anyone could have presumed. This though was quite suspenseful and did have enough anxious moments that you could say it works somewhat as a scary movie. Personally child actors are always a bit nauseating so I'd rather have a teenage heroine who can try and fight back than some screaming kid. As with Jason, Michael Myers now takes on a walking dead persona and somehow this makes them less interesting than when they are pure psychologically disturbed human beings. Also, his mask seemed too clean for my liking - as if it was an advert for Persil but his look still scares me more than Freddy and Jason. Despite these petty quibbles of mine, you still get the gloriously hammy Donald Pleasance and to this day, just that appearance of Myers at the edge of the screen prior to an attack still gives me shivers.
