1. forget about 22 she srabon first. it was a frame to frame copy movie which was class apart among other bangla mvs of that time. 2. Ritobroto and Anirban are class actors. they show their class even with worst scripts. The only good thing about this mv is these 2 gems. 3. Story has no thrill at all. thrill factor is nil. aprt frm last 15 mins it felt like watching a star jalsha daily soap. Script is a jatrapala. no relevance, no integrity. pushing 10 slangs here n there doesnt makes it any better. and last 15 mins was a mess. 4. I am amazed by how the propaganda system works for srijit, all the online platforms and some media just showing how good the mv is, inspite of its a sub par movie. nowdays ppl watching netflix series in their mobile, hollywood mvs are releasing at the same plex with bengali mv. The competition is global. Its hurts when a promising looking director makes this nonsense as a cult sequel.

Fmovies: Watched Dwitiya Purush yesterday evening with family since this was U/A rated by Censor Board. Certain realisations and comments :

1. If you have an actor in a movie who is of the ruling political dispensation , it seems you can get a U/A rating irrespective of the contents of the movie. This movie has explicit scenes of violence , unbelievable amount of profanity, sex related expletives, homosexuality etc. If you are thinking of taking your teenager to the movie , think again and again .....

2. I am a fan of Quentin Tarantino movies and am used to sex , violence , expletive laden content which blend into the storyline. I am also a fan of Srijit but found the entire story extremely weak and falling apart and is virtually out of logic in some places. Against such a background , the explicit scenes and profanities seem to have been given to keep the audience interested. Tarantino once said " Violence is so good ...It affects audiences in a big way" . He also is a master of non linear approach to storytelling... I guess Srijit tried hard to be the Bengali Tarantino but without a plausible storyline failed miserably...

3. Introducing a particular genre is one of the hallmarks of great Directors... Srijit definitely introduced a new genre through "Baishe Srabon " ... It hit the audiences very hard through its dark content and unique storyline...Climax was poorly woven but people accepted it because of the surprise element. In this movie Srijit tries to replicate the same but the audience was already expecting a twist and wanted a well woven one... I'm sorry to say one of my favourite Directors failed badly.. The reviews in newspapers seem to be completely oblivious to the apparent failure...

Regarding the cast , they didn't have much to do... Am waiting for Srijit's next...

To be very truthful the plot was twisted but little, babul supriyo character was thrown in all of a sudden then taken out as quickly, his talent remained underutilized and finally the weak script overshadowed by the milestone created by baishe srabon. It is a fair TV movie, that's it.

Dwitiyo Purush fmovies. Being an aspiring Filmmaker I watched this movie little differently. First of all the story is 10/10 no doubt. But the Screenplay is dense near the end (as like 22 e srabon ). Being a non-linier playscript it is heavily disoriented throughout the movie. Editing and Colors have their flaw 100% but it didn't looked too bad or like the director (Srijit) forced it to be what called different. Some parts of the movie is shamelessly influenced by foreign directors (Todd Phillips). The cinema is all the way on the shoulder of "22 e srabon" which gave it an advantage in the first place in the proof of that Srijit puts a big chucks of 22 e srabon in this film. Although it's an "True sequel" but it felt like he was using 22 e srabon as a nostalgia to make us like this film which is awkward and at the same time silly. At the end as a job of a director Srijit Mukherjee did a normie or as we call it as average job,but due to the strength of the story he hardly balanced it to be a good film. And why I am praising only about the story is, when you get out of the theater, the only thing that would stuck in your matter is one and only the story but nothing else. Although in the first hour there's a bunch of sprouts that should enjoy the audience. Dialogues are balanced and little bended towards psychology as it should in the sequel but it is good, not more & not less than being godd. The acting is impeccable just impeccable. And the Cinematography is okaish. The film should get a 5.5 to 6 out of 10 in my consciousness but the overall film is not that bad.

So lame movie, slow and twist and movie story is so childish

A good ending. But the reason it is not a good sequel is because there is a gap in the storyline of Baishe Srabon and this movie. It felt like the director never planned for the second movie when he made the first one. The first one came organically to him and that is why it will always be one of the good Bengali movies. The second film is something that the director made may be under compulsion or may be just to make a sequel. So the sequel did not work for me. Anirban's acting is like he is acting on stage and is not natural. But rest of the actors are good.
