I almost walked out of my apartment. Who makes garbage like this?
Fmovies: Not sure what film the high reviews were watching as it's rubbish. Bad acting and story.
Also a lot of spiders. Big ones. If you're scared of them like me they appear quite a bit!
Couple quick things about this terrific film.
1. It's clearly not schizophrenia, but schizoaffective disorder: bipolar type. (Know what you're looking at)
2. What happens to Catherine at home, as a child, has ZERO to do with her mental illness.
When mental illness and childhood trauma collide, we get CATHERINE.
But if she had no childhood trauma, she still be on the spectrum and in need of help. (Clinically/pharmaceutically - the film takes only a small stance on the side of meds)
And if she wasn't on the spectrum, and only suffering from childhood trauma, she'd still need help.
Because it's both we have a collision of unfortunate circumstances that lead to this monster.
The Slender Man girls who attempted murder on their friend has THIS EXACT SET OF CIRCUMSTANCES working against them.
Zebra Girl fmovies. Like the works of Joyce Carole Oates, it never tells it like it is. And that's what's brilliant. Actually it reminded me of Laura Pergolizzi's songs. It's so weird that a film would make me think of a musician. But Christ, there's so much difficult stuff being pulled off on this that you really need to pay attention. Like when Laura goes into the craziest of all all high notes just to prove she can. There's a lot here that Zara is doing to prove that she's doing just to prove she can. As a lesbian writer, I know exactly what I, looking at. It's terrific. Recommend if you're a fan of LPs music.
This film is great. As a lover of interesting and dark thrillers I enjoyed this film immensely. I particularly liked the way this film differs to the run of the mill, predictable, mainstream thrillers by almost starting at what would be the end for many films of the genre and working back through the characters' motivations. It's a super stylish film with a brilliantly dark script. Watch this if you want to watch a great film that keeps you guessing all the way through and doesn't conform to boring stereotypes!!!
I thought this film was excellent. The way it approaches such serious mental health issues is very clever and the humorous side of things really helps strike a balance. Also really liked the soundtrack. Would definitely recommend!
