Wrong Cops (2013)

I would label the genre of Wrong Cops as cynical and absurd dramedy. It had its moments, but couldn't properly fill the length of the title. The writing wasn't bad though. I liked some creative ideas and approaches from the writers, and also some of the plot twist were well done. "Cops gone bad" is a potent concept though, which should've been exploited much better here. I understand the movie intentionally wanted to look independent and different - which succeeded, but I must say it had extremely boring and entertaining moments and overall it was uneasy to watch it through. Kind of movie you can pass and you won't miss much - unless you're in a mood for very unconventional flick.

Fmovies: This movie is both hilarious and ridiculous. It is totally weird and insane and totally funny at the same time.

I was so happy when I watched this movie. I bet stoners would love this movie too, just seems like something they would. It has the ability to surprise and be funny and fun and be totally weird at the same time.

The characters are doofuses but they are wonderful doofuses that get into ridiculous shanannigans with each other.

They do stuff that is inappropriate but twist it around to make it funny and I like how they do it. I don't give spoilers just see it. It made me so happy.

This films speak to to my love of nonsensical dry slightly dark humour. This films progression and self-reference to director himself quite evident. It also coincides with the directors personality, which is don't take me seriously and let me create. The other part of this film makes it my favourite is this character's. Mark Burnham in my books does this great job in playing the serious and stubborn depressed looking cop in this absurd kind of circumstance. his reactions, or lack of, make some great awkward cringey moments but I just love and it makes me laugh. The supporting cast do a great job of adding to the absurdity of the situation. Normally exacerbating it or having to deal with Mark Burnham's character actions/reactions.

Wrong Cops fmovies. I am personally very surprised by the movies low rating. It is true that the movie has a specific type of humor you have to be into. But when you are into this kind of humor, you will very much enjoy this movie. I was pretty much laughing continuously for the whole movie. I guess comedies always get a relatively low rating because there are a lot of people out there without any humor. However of all comedies, this is definitely one of the better ones. My advice: watch the movie, if you are not rolling on the floor laughing after the first 10 minutes, don't watch the movie. If you are rolling on the floor laughing, well I don't have to tell you what to do. Anyhow, there is also another point which is the music, I can imagine that some people are annoyed by Quentin Dupieux electronic music, yes, in that case this movie is not your movie.

At the time of my writing this review this stinker of a movie has 352 ratings on IMDb and strangely enough not one single written review so I will be the first. It's difficult to understand how 352 people rated this horrid film a (current) 6.5 without them all being all contracted out from Bombay. The jokes do not even fall flat as much as they can not even be recognized as jokes. This movie is not so much comedy as it is a tragedy ... a slow ... boring ... horrid tragic parody of a film. Stilted dialog and "jokes" that only an eight year old could possibly find funny - if said eight year old were turned on by flaccid jokes about marijuana, murder, transvestism and rape. A plot that I would not describe as contrived merely because the word "contrived" could possibly denote that someone actually put some thought into its development. I see several places on the web that compare this film to either "Police Academy" or Reno 911 - rest assured that this film is not comparable to either as to do so would carry the expectation of the film containing either humor or likable characters, neither of which are to be found anywhere in "Wrong Cops".

I'm giving the film an additional star because the cinematography was actually rather surprisingly adequate. I suggest not wasting your time watching this poor excuse for a film school project.

I gave it 8 out of 10, because it was too short for me, I didn't want it to ends. I really enjoyed this movie, it's really funny and I've laughed a lot. I like good movies though, but, this movie is something different from my point of view, it's not good, it's not bad, it's something that makes you forget about anything else but the movie, good actors, good play, everything is good. I've watched it in one breath. The scenario and director's play is unordinary, that's what appreciated. I wish there will be more that kind. Anyway, the movie is for soothing your brain, not the serious one, but for fun and entertainment. Better to watch with a good company. Don't listen to others, don't listen to me, just see it, you must have your own point of view.
