Who You Think I Am (2019)

Really Binoche is a fairly good actress. But even she can't save this ponderous repetitive and cliched mess. And given that the character development of the rest of the cast is shallow, it falls on her. It just doesn't work. To the other reviewer who says you need to have seen Godard, Truffaut, Malle, to appreciate this film, I am thinking you have not seen films by those greats, given that this film doesn't belong in that pantheon by a long shot.

Fmovies: I was expecting another movie about social media but not. More about getting old and relationships in the technology era. Great Juliette like always. And you will never gues what will happen at the end.

Juliette binoche makes even a role like this brighter than it could have been. The mood and tone of the film take you into your own loneliness and make you wonder what all one could or be compelled to do, because one is lonely. There's a line in it 'i dont mind dying. I just don't want to be abandoned.'. Lovely line. Watch it for binoche.

The film depends almost 100 % on a consecrated and iconic actress Juliette Binoche, the entire film revolves around her actions, in the secondary roles the therapist played by Nicole Garcia and the technology played by Fb, smartphones, GPS. I completely understand that this movie cannot be apreciated by those that have no "education" from Godard, Truffaut, Malle, de Sica, ... and other cineasts from early years after 2ww. It is a paralel world. I am glad that I can enjoy both. This one is though much more intense, much more intriguing and much more provocative than any Spielberg or Lucas or even Tarantino.
