My husband and I watched this movie tonight. It was very charming and fresh. It moved along swiftly. So sensitive with a touch of very dry humor. The performances by everyone were excellent.
A good example of a movie made by a good script.
I have no idea why movie critics trashed this. Movie critics are no longer relevant in my esteem. I think they are desperate to be relevant.
Fmovies: Sad topic, but not totally a sad movie. Melissa McCarthy is fantastic, as expected. It's about loss, love, a bird, and a few misfits. There are laughs along the way when you least expect it, and the story moves forward, as does life.
Give this movie a try. I enjoyed all of it. Melissa was wonderful and I was pleasantly surprised at all the great actors, they just kept coming. My husband and I laughed and cried. We also enjoyed the soundtrack. Definitely a must see!
The Starling fmovies. Very relatable film for anyone who has lost a baby. It was gorgeous. Loved every minute of it. It makes me terribly sad to read all the bad reviews. I'm certain you don't have to have had lived experience to love this film, UT for those of us who have, it was so wonderful to see the aftermath of the event played out in such real world terms. Grief is sad, grief is funny. This is life. I absolutely loved it.
Ignore the negative reviews if you have a soul. This is a beautiful story about loss and mental illness and all the emotions that go with them. Melissa McCarthy & Chris O'Dowd show us a different side of their acting talents in this heartfelt drama with dash of humor.
A very different movie for what you can expect from the cast, but it does not mean that it is s a bad movie, the comedy drama movies are the most difficult to play right, but if you really want to see this movie properly, you will realise that it is very deep and full emotions.... And also once in a while.. Funny too... Because every rose comes with a few spikes and fragrances....... Just enjoy the characters and stop moaning about what you expected... That is pointless.
