This is a good comedy with everything in it. Good acting, good scenery and just plain lots of fun. Some parts will have you laughing out loud. One of the best comedies of 2022 so far. Thanks Netflix.

Fmovies: The Royal Treatment is a movie that begins like a rushed train and hits us with a lot of unnourished stuff. First things first, things that hit us the most are the out of line performance from the actors and screenplay that gets cringy with time. With every passing act the way this film stands, it gives us a hollow feeling and makes nothing much out of the whole presentation that director Rick Jacobson has put together. Pacing in the movie stays unbalanced all the time and the way all the three acts have been put together gives us the feel of a good budget commercial video rather than a feature film. Talking about the story the audience will instantly get the general idea of how many predecessors this particular film has and some of them will stand as a direct reference. Overall in the end it's a movie that will test your patience in many ways and will ask you to watch it if you are getting bored. In terms of watching it highly points in the direction of one time watch.

Didn't finish watching, it went from bad to worse. Stupid script, direction and acting. I can see why Netflixs stock took a dive, Everyone is looking for content, but the quality isn't the same. Nextflix has had some really good original films, but this isn't one of them. Rom-coms make royalty look like fairy tale characters instead of portraying them as real people.

The Royal Treatment fmovies. This story seemed to be very similar as Disney's Princess and the Frog for some reason. The self-absorbed prince marrying for money, the poor working girl whose drive comes from a dead father, the wealthy southern belle that is competing for the princes affections... However, the movie lacked the Disney charm. This did remind me of a Disney Channel TV movie though. It's not terrible, just kind of boring. No true villain, no grand romantic story, no comedy, just kind of there.

The Good: It has to get a 1 in order for me to review it, as per IMDB's rules.

The Bad: Pretty much everything. This has to be one of the most visually unappealing films I've ever seen. Its horrendous lighting and sets make Lifetime movies look like Scorsese films. There's a scene where the protagonist is driving off in a car and it's close up on her face for the ENTIRE SCENE. It's possibly the worst way to shoot this kind of scene and a microcosm of the visual choices made during this thing.

This isn't helped by the terrible actors who populate basically every frame of this thing. I didn't know it was possible to get bad performances out of absolutely everyone, but damn. The combination of these factors makes this film quite hard to watch sober.

TRT is the worst is that it's a generic "working class girl meets foreign royalty fantasy" rom-com, but just worse in every facet. The girl isn't just an every girl. She's a walking Italian-American stereotype with one of the most bizarre accents you ever hear, who is about as Saintly as Mother Theresa. She's so unrealistic it's irritating. And the actresses' performance is truly terrible; it's hard to tell where she's supposed to be from and it's very distracting.

The wacky best friends are cackling weirdos who are easily the worst people in the entire movie, with again, bizarre accents. Mena Massoud should really be embarrassed to be in this thing. Oh and that French woman. My God. I wouldn't be surprised if the French government banned this film.

The movie's location, Livonia, is one of the most baffling fictional countries put to film, and indicative of this movie's laziness. It sounds like an Eastern European country, that apparently "was a trade route to India", and as such, has an impossibly diverse population. People of all races live in the typically anachronistic feudal microstate, they all speak English, but all have different accents. If you haven't clued in by now, to say this film is stuffed with terrible accents and performances would be an understatement.

This is all before I get to the plot. I don't want to go on for too much longer, so suffice to say, it's clichéd.

The Ugly: Take a look at this movie. Then take a look at almost any other rom com (except maybe The Wrong Missy). And keep looking.

Oh, ok it should be sweet and romantic, but not predictable and that you have a feeling of deja vu when watching a movie. The theme does not have the slightest originality in it, while watching this film you have a sense of deja vu because this is a copy of many other films that were made long ago. The acting is forced and stiff. I don't know, I wouldn't classify this as an below-average time killer.
