"Puppet Master vs. Demonic Toys" is far more entertaining than a normal Full Moon movie is.

**SPOILERS**

At Christmas time, Robert Toulon (Corey Feldman) is bitter because a toy company didn't use his ideas for new toys. He is a puppet master like his great granduncle, Andre Toulon, and is trying to make a new batch of puppets with Andre's formula. The head of the rival toy company, Miss Sharpe (Vanessa Angel) watches as Robert and his daughter Alexandra (Danielle Keaton) successfully create the new toys. Jealous of them, Sharpe sends out her henchman to rob the toys from Robert's basement, but they successfully defend against the invaders by starting a fire, destroying most of the papers and badly burning some of the toys. As the robbers return back to an angry Sharpe, she gets a deal made with a demon that will deliver Robert's puppets as her faithful servants in exchange for the two Toulon's being his slaves. Robert and Alex discover Sharpe has been watching them, and move away from their house to rebuild the toys. Sneaking into Sharpe Industries' warehouse, he nearly manages to escape. He finds out that Sharpe has living toys of her own. Returning home, he discovers that a cult of demon worshipers is in the employment of Miss Sharpe. He tries to finish the toys to be able to fight off the toys that Miss Sharpe has created to stop her plot.

The Good News: As usual in the series, the puppets, as well as the demonic toys, were very expertly animated. During several attack scenes, it is very hard to forget that they are puppets. They move and act so fluidly that they seem almost real. Both sets of puppets are obviously taken very seriously, and so much great care into animating them is shown. The last battle between the toys has to be the highlight of the series. The ability to realistically control that many little puppets in a charged fight is very admirable of the Puppet FX team. I was also very pleased at the gore in the film. We get a bloody head wound from a gunshot, punctured body wounds, multiple times an object struck a head, producing a wound, two exploding eyes, and a head crushed, resulting in a large amount of fluid to be emitted from it's eyes. Very bloody. There was also a very nice story that included many different elements brought together for a new take on the Puppet Master film series. In the film, we have a demon-worshiping cult, a demon, an evil corporation headed by a vengeful woman, and two sets of puppets all in one movie. It's a wonder that with all those elements that the film was never confusing. A lot of movies don't have that much involved in their plots and are far more confusing than the plot of this one. That is a major accomplishment for this type of film. Another highlight has to be the acting as well. Angel made a great villain and it was a nice change of pace from seeing her as the good girl in these movies. Feldman for once didn't overact throughout the movie, and it was also a nice change to see him as a good guy, quite the opposite than Angel. His daughter was also a nice touch, as she didn't overact too much, and she could also have the makings of a scream queen if she could take on a few more roles like these. The best part of the movie has to be Feldman's quote that I have used as the tag-line. That was so funny when he said it that I could not stop laughing at it for so long that I missed several minutes rolling laughing at it. That whole line could be the secondary reason to see this, other than the puppet

Fmovies: The movie was an absolute travesty. If Full Moon would have put their A game into this project it could have been an outstanding movie. However, the Puppets look wooden and awful and don't play an interesting part in the film. Cory Feldman probably the only reason why this movie is watchable saved the movie from being a 1. There was some moments that were funny but overall I was more annoyed than entertained. I was disappointed with the kills in the movie and wished there was going to be more of a showdown between the puppets and the Demonic Toys. The plot was atrocious and the ending was lackluster. I would rather chew glass then watch this movie again, avoid and skip at all cost!

Corey Feldman stars in this film as Robert Toulon descendant of the infamous puppeteer Andre Toulon. Robert wants to cash in on the secret formula developed by Andre, by creating life-like puppet toys for children for the Christmas season.

However Erica Sharpe (Vanessa Angel) head of a Toy Making Industry and Robert's former employer, also wants the secret formula. Erica is aided by the Demonic Toys in recovering the formula by any means necessary.

However Robert has the help of Andre's old puppets. So the Puppets are pitted against the Demonic Toys. Who will triumph? Watch and find out.

Corey Feldman and Venessa Angel put on a good performance. Danielle Keaton shines as Alex Toulon, who is always seen at Robert's side, helping him in his quest to develop the formula.

The puppet effects are most disappointing. They could have at least used C.G.I. to refine the puppet animation. Also there is no war between the puppets and toys in the film, except in the ending, which is very brief. With much better effects put into this film, it would have been much better.

Whose fault is this? Blame the director, script writer and special effects head-technician. These guys should rightly be given a kick in the backside.

Puppet Master vs Demonic Toys fmovies. Thanks to some masochistic urge to return the world of Full Moon from when I was 15, I watched this when it debuted on the Sci Fi Channel. It is beyond awful which is surprising because director Ted Nicolau can usually deliver a solid B-movie. The plot is a carbon copy of HALLOWEEN III (here Satan worshiping toymakers create toys that will awaken on Xmas morning and kill) but without the style or suspense. Corey Feldman is the lead (that is a HUGE red flag right there) and hams it up terribly. The effects work, usually one of the more enjoyable aspects of these films, is pathetic. I guess I got what I deserved. Shame on Band for selling the rights for this one off flick. I never thought I would say this but this is a disgrace to both franchises.

Puppet Master vs Demonic Toys (2004) was a made for TV movie for the launch of NBC's SyFy network as a Christmas Special crossover. I found this impossible to find and purchased the DVD off eBay. The storyline is around a doll maker that is the great-grandnephew of Andre Toulon and his daughter who create the formula to bring the infamous puppets back to life. Meanwhile a toy maker across town has acquired the Demonic Toys with hopes of hoarding them and making more demonic toys to sell for Christmas. What better way than to steal the puppet master formula? This movie is directed by Ted Nicolaou (The Dungeon Master, Savage Island and Subspecies) and stars Corey Feldman (yes, that Corey Feldman), Vanessa Angel (Kingpin), Danielle Keaton (War Dogs) and Silvia Suvadova (Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift). I loved every second of this movie. This movie is so fun. The acting is terrible on purpose but extremely entertaining, the settings and scenes are fantastic, and the Christmas opening and closing is magnificent. It's truly unfortunate this was never made more widespread available. It's one of those so bad it's good cult classics. I strongly, strongly recommend seeing this. I'd give it a 6.5/10 for entertainment value.
