I would be so happy if I could turn back time and not lose two hours of my time watching this mockery! I don't even know how to start... The characters are simple even for a comedy. They look more like some bad stand-up comedians depending on the costumes to be believable. The script is awful. Not only they used same jokes most of the time but the jokes weren't even funny. The only thing making this so called movie watchable is the camera work. The trailer is also good. Actually when I saw the trailer I thought it would be a nice funny movie....but.... I can't decide which part of it is the worst... When I walked out of the theater I was wondering who would possibly give money for such a joke and how on Earth did it gain so much popularity and then I remembered all the honest commercials of cigarettes and alcohol drinks in the film. The one thing that bothers me is how some good actors like Julian Vergov or Malin Krystev take part of this hideous nonsense. I won't take the time to comment Lyubo Neikov who isn't an actor, he is just some well known character who makes the teenage audience laugh because he is fat, stupid, cursing, sweaty and disgusting. That's his career. Congratulations! Honestly I felt even a bit depressed after this parade of the stupidity. Seeing Bulgarian pictures such as "The World Is Big.." I thought there was some hope for our cinematography but sadly if we keep on settling with and even celebrating stupid, simple, caddish mockeries like this one and if we dare to call them movies...."good movies" we are going nowhere and the culture of our productions will stay on the lame talk shows and "scandalous" vulgar realities level. I am sorry if I am hurting someone's feelings but that's my opinion :)

Fmovies: Sorry, but I have to admit that I didn't like this movie at all. Seriously, I am tired to watch one and the same thing for so many times.

This is a type of movie you either love or hate. For me it's "hate", because it's yet another parody of what the Bulgarian "reality" is. Producers, writers, directors, wake up finally - we don't need another reminder for this, we watch it every day on the street and during most of the TV shows like "Gospodari na efira", "Pulna ludnitsa", "Shouto na Slavi", "Shouto na kanala" and etc. What we need is something new, something different, something that if I have a friend from abroad I can take him to the cinema and be proud to show him the movie and ask him "Now, go to your country and tell your friends to watch it". This is not the one, I'd say.

Several weeks ago a lady holding the movies brochure asked me if I can help her to pick up a movie to watch. Mission London was already available and I told her about it. She said she has already seen it, but with such a disgusted face that I felt embarrassed for even bringing the topic.

Now, time for breaking up into pieces: 1. Story - not that bad, it feels like Brazilian soup opera, but however it brings some good mood. I would rate it with 4 out of 10 stars. 2. Acting - I have rarely seen acting worse than that (and I've seen a lot). May be that's because most of the Bulgarian people here are not really acting - singers and politicians should do what they are good at. Overall, I would rate it with 2 out of 10 stars. 3. Camera - losing the focus off the person who speaks is never a good thing. I would rate it with 1 out of 10 stars. 4. Music - it didn't attract any attention, it was not something exceptional, but it was there, which is new for Bulgarian movie. I would rate it with 4 out of 10 stars. 5. Overall - nothing new, nothing different, the same old parody, which I'm sick of. Way below zero stars.

I am realizing that only Bulgarians would have some interest to this movie, and I'm even questioning myself why I did write this review in English.

However, PEOPLE NOT FROM BULGARIA, DON'T WATCH THIS MOVIE. You Bulgarians, you make the choice on your own. But honestly, I don't think that we as an audience should accept this kind of production, it's way below what we are capable of.

This is the first Bulgarian movie that has done everything professionally - the producing, the marketing and advertising, the vision and sound of the film etc. The commercial success of Mission London is of great importance because if there is profit - more companies will be attracted to invest in Bulgarian cinema. Therefore I really hope the movie gets a good revenue and for now it seems like it would succeed in this mission due to the record breaking audience that it attracted during it's first week. Thanks to a very good advertising campaign and extensive media coverage everybody in Bulgaria is talking about Mission London.

So everything involving the organization and the promoting of the movie was executed fantastically. However the movie itself in my opinion fails to live up to the expectations set by the trailers. Some of the acting is poor due to the casting. The screenplay is too chaotic and the directing only amplifies this feeling. In a few words I could describe Mission London as a mediocre attempt at reinterpretating Guy Ritchie's modern British style cinema of the previous decade (Snatch, Lock stock and two smoking barrels) and mixing it with some typical Bulgarian absurdness. Sadly though the result is neither as intense, complicated and funny as Ritchie's nor is it thoroughly exploring the absurd Bulgarian characters and modern politics. It's a movie that tried to imitate and be original at the same time and unfortunately it didn't succeed at both. Another problem is that Guy Ritchie's style has passed it's time and is already too exploited and Mission London doesn't bring anything new to it. On the contrary the director even picked Alan Ford to play a similar character as he did in Snatch.

In the end I would like to say that i'm hoping Bulgarian cinema will attract more sponsors and the producers will try to make movies at a bigger scale. Mission London is the first bold attempt and it's a good start. For those who are really interested in modern Bulgarian cinema I really want to recommend them watching "Zift", "The World Is Big and Salvation Lurks around the Corner" or "Eastern Plays"! New films from young directors that really impress and show that there is a lot of talent here that just needs to be given the chance to work. Because even though the three movies I mentioned were done with very low budgets the results are really fascinating!

Mission London fmovies. Mission London never gets boring and entertains 100%. The actors - most of them very well known to the Bulgarian public and completely unknown to the rest of the world, are full of qualities and motivation to do their best. That makes them very persuasive. In fact this movie is so good, if it was a woman I would have married her brother (Bulgarian way of expressing). Of course it will be fair to say that the humor in the film is directed a little bit more towards the Bulgarians, there are some specific touches connected with the Bulgarian culture and style of living that the Bulgarians will grasp more effectively than others. So in my opinion that makes the film more enjoyable for a Bulgarian than anybody else. But nevertheless this one is a fine piece of a movie. If you watch carefully you will eventually know something more about Bulgarians and a lot more about the way they organize foreign adventures.

I may be Bulgarian, but I will not close my eyes for the total lack of creativity displayed with this movie. All of Bulgaria was flooded with ads for this movie. And to be honest, while watching the ads I thought "well, this movie might be worth watching"... well, I was wrong.

First the whole concept of the movie is stupid. The actors... They did their best, but it was not enough to compensate for the poor script. They might of tried to make up some better looking tracking devices instead of using 1,5V batteries. The only funny moment of the movie (the grand fiasco) was totally predictable.

I hate to say it, but Bulgarian movie producers have the talent to make some of the worst movies ever (that is all after 1990, there are some great Bulgarian movies before that). Only Germans are able to compete with the lack of creativity and stupidity of Bulgarian movie makers.

For a long time I thought that no one can make a worse movie than a German, but if we keep up the pace, soon Germany will be second and Bulgaria will be the top producer of worthless movies.

Let me straighten this up-the movie isn't bad at all, but I think, the main problem of Bulgarian movies isn't the lack of ideas, but the lack of genre. When i walked in, the posters as well as the trailer, talked about some kind of a comedy. This isn't a comedy-it has funny moments, but one can count them easily, because they were that few.And at least 50 percent of them, and that means three, were in the trailer.

The movie has politics involved in it, but it isn't a political movie either-this is a movie with fine actors, both Bulgarian and British, but without doubt, a movie made mostly for Bulgarians-there are political references, only a Bulgarian can understand, and jokes made specifically for them.

The acting was one of the things i liked, but when a movie doesn't stick up to it's genre, you can't be sure, if those were one-time performances, or not.Alan Ford, a British actor, known mostly with his parts in Guy Ritchie's movies, wasn't at his regular level. He was good, but looked a little bit spooked and shy in a foreign movie.

Something i liked was the cinematography-the movie was shot in great style i little bit blurry and old-fashioned, but in a good way- and that's the director to blame-hi did a fine job in this movie-making aspect.

The one thing about the plot, i really don't understand is, how the ending adds up with the rest of the movie. The one thing i don't like about movies, is when it is all the same in the end.The characters haven't evolved, the whole situation hasn't been changed since the very beginning.Nothing changed, except a few missing ducks and a dead man lying on a pavement-that's all,Nothing really matters.Nothing significant to appreciate and value as useful the rest of the time.

Overall, this movie isn't bad, it just isn't what it promises to be.Above average, considering all the American "movies", that are flushing out of nowhere, but could've been way better. With this fresh story, and talented actors, and the charisma one could accomplish in the middle of two different religions, traditions, cultures, worlds, this could've been a pretty memorable and intriguing roller-coaster ride.

My rate would've been a little lower, but considering the obvious fact i'm a Bulgarian, i just can't rate it lower...Instead of a six, i'm giving it a seven...

My rate: 6.5/10
