Firstly, I love rom coms, love nothing more than a British film, love Sam and a few other cast members too, so I was really looking forward to this. However, it was painful viewing! Give it a miss and watch Sam in Love, Rosie instead
Fmovies: I don't normally review movies on here but I felt the need with this one. This was one of the most painful movies I've tried to sit through. The situations the characters got themselves into were frustratingly avoidable so the whole plot was just frustrating. The only good part was when the maid of honor does his first speech. PLEASE just fast forward to that scene, watch, then flick over to something else. Painful.
I almost never give any review, but this time I'm actually angry: What a waste of resources, location and actors... The story is simply idiotic, and the screenwriter/director clearly has no clue for comedy.
I repeat: Do yourself some good, and avoid this at all costs!
Love Wedding Repeat fmovies. I couldn't help thinking I'm watching a bad remake of 'Four Weddings and a Funeral'. Ok, it's a different storyline but characters and the way they'll (try to) get embarrassed makes this feeling of copying - even in this version the characters were not convincing at all . The film had its short moments but most of the time it was quite boring. It's hard to believe how little humor they could accomplish with a nice mix of English and Italian people and traditions.
Before starting the movie I was intrigued by its possibilities but, once begun, I could barely last through half of this movie. Forced "comic" situations, bad acting, worse dialogues and an absolute lack of spark between the actors made it an absolute drag to watch.
If you're looking for light-hearted entertainment, this movie is for you. No, there is no complex plot, nor is it for everyone but there are truly parts that I found to be hilarious. Give it a try...
