Humor is in the eye of the beholder. So while the quirky way this movie decides to take, is not everyones taste, even those who don't like it that much, have to admit, that it sticks to its plan. Of course that doesn't help with those who won't like it from the get go. But at least you know, this isn't for you then.

There's other movies that try a similar formula (one's hidden in my summary line, the other being Revenant ... though I can only recommend the latter as an alternative, even if not as good as this one), but none have a thorough story or the actors to back it up, as does this movie. Not without flaws, but as good as it gets in that genre and not just trying to be cool, but actually achieving it. I can only hope that you can enjoy it as much as I did ...

Fmovies: This film was a delight to watch and had everything every self-respecting movie buff would want... horror, comedy, action, and romance supported by a solid story and a highly entertaining script. The Pierce Brothers deliver plenty of laughs and tender moments between the onslaught of gore that is expected from any decent zombie movie.

The story is described as: "Two zombie slackers, Mike and Brent, find themselves surprisingly reborn from the dead amid a disastrous zombie outbreak. After discovering an engagement ring in his coat pocket, Mike enlists his new found zombie pal, Brent, to embark on a quest in search of his lost love. What ensues is a hilarious cross country road trip as these two reformed flesh-eating pals hitch-hike across the country as they are pursued by a team of zombie killin' bounty hunters!"

The cast are fantastic! Michael McKiddy and Ross Kidder play a great duo as our leads but the noteworthy nods go to Ben Webster's Zombie Assassin McDinkle and Marcus Taylor playing the lovable deadite Cheese. Both performances steal almost every scene they appear in!

I am pleased that the film has been given a US distribution as I'm sure people will love it as I do!! Check it out, you won't be disappointed!!

I can understand that people really liked this zombedy. But it is just a few weeks ago that I saw two other US comedies namely, Vampires Su*k and Tucker and Dale vs Evil. It was very simple, Vampire Su*k was indeed a big su*k but Tucker was hilarious. Why, because it had stupid situations and misunderstandings. People who knew me know that I'm not into Us comedies except a few like Tucker. Sadly Deadheads failed for me.

I had a few laughs, for example the gym with the zombie they called Cheese. that was funny, but ripping off an arm and putting it back on place to move further isn't funny anymore. On the other hand there are a few good things too, I was looking forward for McDinkle (Benjamin Webster). He's the kind of guy you all know, I had a few laughs with him but the main characters weren't convincing. It isn't all comedy, in fact, it's a love story between a guy being killed and turned into a zombie going to find his love. But they never got into stupid situations. On the gory part there is more to see, there are a few good things to see like the decapitation.

My mouth moved a few times but not enough to call it great. With Tucker for example I was laughing out loud. I'm sure that it will have his fans but this time I didn't dig it, sorry.

Deadheads fmovies. I was initially put off by the relatively low score this movie has on here, but I quickly discovered the fallacy of the current 5.0/10 rating.

"Deadheads" is smart, touching and revolting in the right places, without ever losing sight of what it is: a really good zombie comedy.

While the romantic interest that propels the story would be a risky device in the hands of lesser directors, the Pierce brothers add just the right amount of deflating humor to the mix to ensure "Deadheads" doesn't head off into romcom territory.

The two leads, Michael McKiddy and Ross Kidder (brother of Margot!), make a great "smart zombie" team, but the film truly distinguishes itself through the other cast members: Markus Taylor as "stupid zombie" Cheese, Harry Burkey as old man Cliff and Benjamin Webster and Greg Dow as the zombies' pursuers all give strong performances.

Some hardcore "gorehound" horror fans will likely be of the opinion that there's not enough blood and guts flying around, but if that's your kind of thing, just go get a job in a slaughterhouse and leave the rest of us in peace.

With "Deadheads", the brothers Pierce (their dad worked on "Evil Dead", btw) have delivered a solid horror film which has everything in it to become a modern cult classic.

I can't wait to see what they'll do next...

I had to write a short review of this. Some of the top reviews of this movie is obviously made by someone affiliated with the movie in some way.

The movie is mildly entertaining. The plot is the main guy that wants to declare his love for his old girlfriend. The side-story is about an old guy who wants to spread his dead wife's ashes by some shore or other. The side-plot isn't executed very successfully. The acting is OK, although the side-kick gets to be annoying.

I was hoping for a few laughs, but I didn't laugh once in the course of this movie. It was a bit funny at times. So I smiled, and that's it.

If you have nothing else to do, or if you REALLY like zombie-themed movies by all means see it. You're not gonna walk away very satisfied though.

I managed to sit though it's entirety. I'm starting to think that I should have spent it sleeping instead.

Goodnight!

Gotta say I found this quite by accident and thought to myself here we go another low budget zombie/funny ha ha movie and I had a couple of hrs to spare so i thought why the heck not.......

How wrong I was from the first 10mins into the movie I was hooked a combination of 80's themed situations, quite a good bit of gore and laughs a plenty.

glad it didn't go to much into the whys and whats about how the zombies were made.

could have done with a few more 'McDinkle Moments'(he could have his own spin off movie) Not gonna spoil it by going into the plot but.... If you like a bit of zombie/comedy combined with a romantic road movie then this is one to watch...
