At the beginning I'd like to say I'm sick and tired of this silly anti-Boll mania and you should be too. So I want to review this film without the cliché of obligatory insults targeted at the (in)famous director. First of all I'd like to point out that some of so-called reviews (including the so-called very first web review reported on IMDb) are from the people who obviously haven't seen the movie at all!! The made up the reviews based only on the trailer. That's a crime of internet journalism. Shame on you. But, let's get to the film, shall we? Bloodrayne: The Third Reich is the third chapter of Uwe Boll's saga based on games about half-human, half-vampire. The first film was set during Middle Ages, the second in Old West times, this time we're in the dark days of The Second World War. We find Rayne (beautiful Natassia Malthe reprising her role from the previous film) somewhere on the Eastern Front fighting side by side with the rebels against Nazis. The film is an action horror with some hot scenes and good thrills. I found it very interesting. Firstly there is a certain pseudo-documentary feel to the film, which gives it a fresh breath. It's not yet another plastic-fantastic super colorful Hollywood blockbuster. The atmosphere is dark and depressing and it feels real. On this craft-fully designed background the director and writer paint the wolf pack of very interesting, bigger than life characters. There's Rayne – deadly dangerous and, yet very sexy. She's a true warrior but also a woman who hides under the iron shelter a human heart. There's the crazy Dr Mangler (played by Clint Howard in a top form) and Nazi Commandant (Michael Pare) who accidentally becomes day-walking vampire (thanks to Rayne's own blood). It's a treat to see those persons because they are very charismatic, strong, big. Whoever said anything bad about the acting in this movie hasn't seen it or doesn't understand what kind of a movie Bloodrayne: The Third Reich is. It's an escapist violent sexy fun movie, not a period costume drama with ambitions to get Academy Awards. C'mon, if don't like the performances here what can you tell about the performances in, for instance, Iron Man 2? I don't think that Mickey Rourke overacted his role in IM2 and in the same way I don't think Clint Howard overacted his role in BR3. These characters are supposed to be archetypes, caricatures, super-villains. So in my opinion…acting here is top notch. Especially Natassia Malthe is very believable as a super human/super vampire with her almost ballet like moves during the fights. I don't need to say she is very beautiful, because it's obvious, but also she does have big acting talent. Look at her more quiet scenes or even her voice-over in BR3. She is perfect here. If you look at her role on the paper – this is a very tough role to play without being unintentionally funny or "fake". Malthe plays her role extremely good, "real" and – although I do like Kristana Loken (from the first Blodrayne movie) - I have to say Natassia is the perfect Rayne. Last but not least I'd like to stress out that Natassia has some very cool sensual scenes in this movie and she decided to do some nudity (something totally rare in her career) for this movie and for this role. Thank You, Natassia. You're the best!!! Clint Howard is funny and every scene with him as the evil soulless doctor archetype is funny like hell. Michael Pare does a good job and still has this special charisma o

Fmovies: This was obviously film-making under pressure. If I hadn't heard the director mention on the DVD's audio commentary that there was lack of time and money, I'd still have noticed it easily from the quality jumps. At the beginning, you think this is going to be "Schindler's List II" or something like that, slowly enough building up the atmosphere before it's unfortunately too rushed afterwards. There are some brilliant scenes, my favorite is when the doctor says about the vampire: "This creature no longer has any bond to the moral laws of Man" - while he is just cutting him (it?) to pieces alive! That tells you more about what inhuman means than some highly acclaimed movies did: inability to realize how evil it all really is. However, there are some downfalls after that, especially the fight scenes are less spectacular than some in the previous two movies, and Bloodrayne's character isn't developed much, pretty much a ball in a pinball machine, same player shoots again... Actually the bad guys are more interesting, especially the lieutenant who is in doubt whether he should follow the doctor and the commandant, afraid they might turn him into a vampire, too. I voted 7-7-6 for the three movies.

Going into this movie I had only seen the first Bloodrayne movie which I didn't mind because there was so much action. Bloodrayne: The Third Reich is once again about action, but sadly the action scenes are way to short and there is just not enough in them. There was actually one action scene that came out of no where and the time could have been used better. The acting was sub par with some laugh out loud moments because of both the script and the acting, especially the last line in the movie. I like how the movie didn't go overboard with gore like the first movie.

The movie without the credits runs 1hr 12min director's cut, which shows how the movie could have been made a lot better if someone put more time into the script. I wouldn't recommend this movie because it just doesn't pack a punch. The script does have humor that isn't witty, but you still get a laugh because it is so random. If you want something to waste your time with then go ahead and rent it, but just don't buy it.

BloodRayne: The Third Reich fmovies. That very thought was going through my head when I rented this cinematic excrement. Nazis are my favourite bad guys and this seemed like a promising take on a good formula. In short, the story was vapid and the acting was awful. They threw in some sex to titillate, but all it did was make me angry. The mad doctor is over the top yet not in a good way and he was stupid to boot. The lead Nazi was an acceptable villain, but only because his acting was not painful and he was a Nazi. The heroine seemed rather one dimensional and devoid of life (which I think was the "actress'" fault rather than the writers' or even intentional). The heroine, by the way, never actually wears those painted on "pants". Ever. Sorry. This movie is neither bad enough to be good nor is it passable as late night brain dead viewing. I should have known to save my $1.02 when I saw the cover. What can I say: I have a weakness for dead Nazis and shapely hips.

Uwe Boll strikes again. "The Third Reich" is the third film in the "Bloodrayne" franchise set this time in Europe during WW2. What drew me in wasn't that I was a fan of the films or even Boll, but the concept of a war torn backdrop with Nazis tackling the supernatural in the shape of a vampire. Even with a bad reputation, these premises I would gladly take the risk. However "The Third Reich" was a risk not worth taking. In 1943 Europe, during WW2 Rayne and a group of resistance fighters take on Nazi commandant Ekart Brand turned day-walker, who plan to grant Hitler immortality. While I was mildly amused by first two films, this entry was utterly dull with a constantly stilted, if rambling script with too little action to compensate it. Boy did Clint Howard's German scientist have plenty to say, very laborious too. For most part it's talky and with such a daft and lazy script (these characters sure do like to use phrases and sayings), best little was said, but Boll thought otherwise. It just meanders from one shot to another. Natassia Malthe returns as Rayne, rather sexed-up (just look at her outfit) oozing with confidence and angst, but a little more whinny than I remembered. Again her dialogues were often cringe-like, but when it came to the action choreography, her sword skills do deliver on the mobility and carnage. Although the gun combats, felt sluggish in its staginess. Also she does get her gear off, where Boll throws in random lesbian eroticism. Michael Pare monstrously hams it up as the German commandant who's turned by Rayne. Interesting concept, which can't hide the fact it's on the cheap and downright junky. Gotta love Rayne's nightmare sequence involving Hitler.

"F**king Nazis."

Bloodrayne: Third Reich is a good low budget movie. It has all needed ingredients: sexy female her (very voluptuous Natassia Malthe), over the top bad guys (good doctor Mengele played by Clint Howard), cool fights choreography and interesting story with some funny ideas. Want to see Rayne getting physical with another woman? Here you go? Wanna see our heroine fighting Hitler? Filmmakers deliver. Of course if you are one of the haters of Boll, you'll hate this movie too. This is Uew Boll's movie with his characteristic style – good lighting, shaky cam and the budget wasn't one hundred million dollars. The special mention goes to Pare, who is in every Bloodrayne film, here give truly magnificent performance. By the way – being a Boll haters is so "yesterday"… Most of action horror/action fans will have a good time with this one, as I did, just don't expect big budget Hollywood blockbuster . of gore and sex. Also you have to prepare yourself for lots Bloodrayne: Third Reich is in fact, largely enjoyable Advice for Bollhaters – don't waste your time on this one . All others - BR3 is worth to be checked out; it's the best entry in the series.
